My youngest boy has been tractor mad since he was a few months old and for Christmas a couple of years back, Santa made all his tractor dreams come true by bringing him a ride on New Holland tractor.
When I tell you that this is like a miniature version of a real tractor I really mean it! It looks just like a New Holland tractor (my sons favourite tractor brand) and has great power to it, allowing it to cruise over the various terrains here at the farm with no bother.

It comes with a 24V battery, which has great life to it once charged fully and has a slow and fast speed setting, depending on where we're wanting to go! It has a push button to turn on and makes a start of noise like a real tractor. It has working headlights and various music and voice sounds to play on the dash. The seat is leather and very comfortable for my son as he spends a lot of time in his beloved tractor.
What appealed to me most about the kids ride on New Holland tractor is that it comes with a parental control, meaning that we drive the tractor for my son remotely at the moment, while he's still young. He was given this tractor at one and a half and has been perfectly safe in it. The inside has a seat belt that closes over his waist and he hasn't found the pedals or have any interest in steering the wheel himself yet (he's now just under four months shy of turning 3), but when he's ready, the option is there for him to drive the tractor himself.
The parental remote is really easy to use, you simply turn it on by the 'P' button, change the speed setting with the 'S' button and then use the arrows to steer it. We've never had any hassle with it.
We've had great fun going up and down the fields, the yard and around our garden with our son in the tractor and it's his favourite thing in the world! He would quite literally spend the day in it.
To add to his tractor experience, his Daddy recently bought him the matching New Holland trailer. This attaches to the back, underside of the tractor and is placed on and off by removing a nut each time you want to use it.
The only downside I've found to having the trailer on is that it makes backing back a bit of a hassle. Maybe I just need to work on my driving skills. He absolutely loves the trailer though and has taken to wanting our dog to go in it as he's in the tractor. It's a very sweet sight!

The trailer is a good size too and has the same EVA rubber wheels that the tractor has, giving it great traction.
Santa got this tractor for my son on offer at Irwin's Megastore in Midleton, Cork, however, they no longer have it in stock. Another Cork business, Hennessey Outdoors has the kids ride on New Holland tractor for sale for €650 and the trailer is €100. It is an expensive ride on, I will admit that, but the quality of it and the enjoyment it's brought my son is priceless.
It really is worth the investment if you have a child who really loves tractors and the stated age range for this tractor is 3 to 8, however, as I've said above, my son has had his since one and a half, so we really are getting a lot of years and use out of it.
