New Baby & Mum Gift Basket ♥

Everyone is pregnant at the moment, or so it seems, or they have just had a lovely new little baby, funnily enough they're all having or had baby boys too, so lovely! I have to admit seeing all these pregnancy bumpdates and newborn photos has made me so broody - I am so beyond ready for another precious baby to bless our family. For now though I have to contain myself by putting together some lovely gift baskets for my friends who have had a baby or who are expecting one soon. I think a gift basket is always the best gift idea because you can fill it up with so many lovely things, not just for baby but for mum too, because we all know mum needs a little pampering too after nine months of pregnancy, labour and giving birth.

The best thing about gift baskets is that you can really tailor them to whoever you are giving them to. They can be made neutral if they are a baby shower gift and you don't know the baby's gender. The basket I have put together is for a baby boy but you can easily pick up the same things for a baby girl and add them in instead.

In the basket I included -
For baby: Blanket, bib, sleepsuit, vest, Guess How Much I Love You comforter, blue bunny comforter (extra long for snuggles), Huggies Aloe Vera wipes,Cussons Mum & Me Ultra Mild Baby Lotion, Cussons Mum & Me Baby Bath to Comfort Snuffles and Cussons Mum & Me Sleep Tight Baby Bath, Guess How Much I Love You mini book and The Tale of Peter Rabbit book.

For mum: Cadbury's Dairy Milk large bar, two Yankee Candle wax tart melts - Angel Wings and Fluffy Towels, Yves Rocher Organic Oats Body Lotion, Heathcote & Ivory Elderflower and Daisy Hand Lotion, Lush Full of Grace face serum bar.

I think putting together a hamper yourself makes it extra special and shows how much thought you really put into getting everything together and presenting it in a beautiful way. I know I would have been really touched if someone had given me something like this when my son was born.

I really loved putting together this gift basket. I added in products which I use with my son so I know they're perfect for baby's super sensitive skin. I love the Cussons Mum & Me range so I had to add those in and all we ever buy are Huggies wipes so I know they'll be perfect for newborns too. I added in the books for some mother and baby bonding at bedtime and you can never have enough comforters. The Guess How Much I Love You one is from Hampers By Lucy and the blue bunny one is from Penneys/Primark. I got the baby clothes, blanket and bib in TKMaxx, I love the baby clothes and products they stock in there. The items I added in for mum are all natural and are great for keeping skin soft, smooth and moisturised - essential after all those pregnancy hormones!

I really hope my friend and her handsome baby boy enjoy their gifts, it was so lovely shopping for baby items again, there really is nothing more adorable than baby products.

Have you ever put together a gift basket for a new baby and mum?

  4. What a GREAT gift basket for moms (and babies!) You're a great friend. None of my friends are at the "having kids" stage yet since we all just graduated college last year but I can't wait to put little baskets together for them in the future <3

  6. These baby & mom gift baskets are such a great idea! The baby is always the one who gets all the presents, and mom often gets left out, so it's nice to surprise her with some special things while she takes care of her sweet newborn! Love it! I hope my friends are this thoughtful when I have a little one!

  9. How sweet! I know how you feel, though. It seems like people I know are getting pregnant left from right, making me almost want another one sometime soon. In the meantime, I always enjoy making gift baskets for my family members and/or friends that are pregnant.

  12. I love gift baskets and they are a go to present for me. I think it is so much fun to fill a basket with baby products and clothes and toys! It is so hard to choose just one gift anyways, so a basket is such a beautiful presentation of a gift and allows you to add so many different things! That basket is fabulous!
