Our Family Stay At The Clonmel Park Hotel ♥

*Our stay at the Clonmel Park Hotel was complimentary during our collaboration with Visit Tipperary, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions expressed within this post are 100% my own.

Last week we went exploring all that south Tipperary has to offer in collaboration with Visit Tipperary. We enjoyed two days jam-packed full of fun and beautiful places, and thankfully, after all of the busyness we had the perfect base to return to in the Clonmel Park Hotel.

We had never been to Clonmel before but it's a great base if you're wanting to travel around south Tipperary as it's close to all the places we visited - The Apple Farm, Cahir Castle and Mitchelstown Caves.

We were given a suite to stay in and it was amazing! It had so much room and with a separate living room area complete with Netflix, the boys were able to chill and relax after a busy day as well as have plenty of space to play with their toys.

The suite was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for our family stay. There was a king size bed (at least I think it was because it slept three of us!) and two camp beds set up for the boys on either side.

The suite came complete with two TVs - one in the living room area and one in the bedroom. It had a coffee machine complete with pods - much needed when setting off on a fun-filled day trip with the kids! The hairdryer in the suite was one of the best I have ever used and dried my very long hair in no time.

The bathroom was large and featured his and her sinks, a corner bath and a separate shower so it was the perfect size for a family to make use of.

On arrival in our suite we were greeted with a hamper of goodies from the local area which was such a lovely touch and some treats for the boys which they were very happy with. There were also magazines for me to read. This was such a lovely touch and I was so appreciative of it. It made for a lovely start of our little holiday in Tipperary.

The staff at the hotel could not have been nicer or more accommodating to us. They were helpful and very friendly and when Tyler expressed his longing for wanting to go to the kids club, I felt reassured that he'd be fine because the girls in there - Abbie and Sophie, were so friendly.

The Lenny the Lion kids club is a great aspect to the Clonmel Park Hotel. It's free for guests and they have a whole range of activities each week to keep kids entertained.

During the evening Tyler (and Beau for forty-five minutes!) went swimming in the leisure centre at the hotel with the kids club. Tyler had a great time and so did Beau at first, but he's just not used to being left with anyone so he asked for me and the leisure centre rang me straight away to come and get him.

Tyler then decorated cupcakes with the kids club and had movie time and treats. He even had his dinner and dessert down there because he didn't want to leave! He had such a great time and was delighted he was able to go.

We ate in The Wheat Bar, the hotel's bar and restaurant, one night during our stay and sadly, as I was feeling quite unwell that day, I didn't eat much before heading back to the room with Beau. Jacek really enjoyed his pork belly dinner and Beau enjoyed chips and goujons before heading back to the room with me. Jacek was able to take some dessert of lemon posset Eton Mess back to the room and I tried a little of that - it was delicious!

Breakfast at the Clonmel Park Hotel was lovely. It's buffet style with a range of hot and cold food to choose from. The boys loved the pastries and little muffins and Jacek and I opted for hot breakfasts. It really set us up for the day - breakfast was included with our stay.

If you're looking for a lovely clean, comfortable and friendly hotel to stay in in south Tipperary then I highly recommend the Clonmel Park Hotel. It really felt like a second home to us when we were away. The suite had everything and all the room we needed as a family and I would definitely stay there again.

You can find out more information about the hotel on the Clonmel Park Hotel website and you can also follow them on Instagram @clonmelparkhotel for regular updates. The Clonmel Park hotel is offering 2 night family stays during the October midterm from £199.
