The Cork Beauty Bloggers Meet Up - December 2013 ♥

On Saturday, December 7th I attended my first ever bloggers meet up which was organised by the fantastic Marian from The High Life Of Mars. I was delighted that for once a beauty even was being held in Cork and even though I was quite nervous about going I am so glad that I did! I got to meet some of my amazing fellow bloggers, namely Sarah from At the Beauty Desk, Dita from Dita Time, Edel from The Beauty Dial, Stephanie from Polished and Primed, Laura from Laurz Beauty and Dawn from Aurora La Petite, there were other bloggers present but I didn't really get a chance to speak to them, there was so much going on! We all met in The Body Shop store on Patrick's Street where I was greeted by Marian and by the lovely Donna Marie from The Body Shop who had very kindly provided flutes of cranberry juice, gorgeous vanilla cupcakes and adorable gingerbread men for us all to enjoy, each flavour representing on of The Body Shop's signature Christmas scents, so much thought to detail which was very much appreciated! I had a vanilla cupcake, they were divine!

We were given a makeup demo showcasing some of The Body Shop's products from their XM13 range, notably the smokey eye palette in copper tones, a plum version is also available and their Colour Crush red lipsticks which were really stunning, the perfect shades for the festive season. Oh how I wish red lipstick suited me. I fell in love with The Sparkler XM13, a spritz bottle of shimmer and fine sparkler in pink and gold which smells beautiful, I love the bottle, the pump is so vintage looking, it would look beautiful on my dressing table, I need this in my life! We then chatted amongst ourselves, browsing through the array of products The Body Shop has to offer, I was besotted by their Christmas bath bombs but I fear they may just be too adorable to use. We were then given a talk by Donna Marie on The Body Shop's Christmas range and the humanitarian work which goes on behind the scenes regarding these products and their packaging, I love when a brand has an cause like this behind their products, it just makes using them and supporting them all the more pleasurable. Donna Marie very kindly provided us with goodie bags which were generously packed with five gorgeous goodies for us all to enjoy, I seriously was in awe of this! I received The Joyful Gingerbread House XM13, two Lightening Touch Radiance XM13, White Musk Smoky Rose Spritz Duo Gift Set XM13 and Shimmer Waves XM13. Amazing right?!

We then moved onto the Pixy Natural pop up store in Merchants Quay where we greeted by the friendliest staff, seriously everyone I have ever dealt with regarding Pixy Natural have been nothing but helpful, lovely and so passionate about their products. We were guided through some of the amazing products Pixy Natural have to offer and were able to test them all out, least to say that smells alone of these products had me sold on them. I really fell in love with their Lime Sorbet Shower Mousse, the smell of this is so invigorating and zesty, I need this in my life and shall be picking it up next week! If you are a regular reader of my blog then I'm sure you will know just how much I love Pixy Natural's products, I really can't recommend them enough, they are such a treat for the skin. The lovely people at Pixy Natural were so kind to us sending us on our way as we left with their brand new Coconut Ice Shower Mousse which has a scent that reminds me of a summer holiday!

Afterwards we headed to The Roundy where Marian held a little raffle for two gorgeous bracelets and some Precious Polish nail polish from their Christmas range, you may remember I featured Precious Polish's shade 'Bordeuxed' last week. I chatted some more with Dita, Sarah and Dawn before it was time to call it a night. I wish we could have chatted more but c'est la vie! I'm sure this won't be the last bloggers meet up I attend and I hope another one shall be held in Cork soon. I really enjoyed it and thanks so much to Marian for organising it all, I am so glad I went! A big thank you to Donna Marie and everyone at Pixy Natural too, you were all so generous and I am so thankful. You can be sure that reviews of the products within my goodie bags shall come in due course once I've had time to enjoy them all.

Never mind my gammy eyes in the above pictures, I wasn't trying to smize, the flash on my camera is far too strong for my uber sensitive eyes! My goodie bag reveal shall come tomorrow so stay tuned for some serious product envy. I swear it's like Christmas came early for me, I'm so grateful!

Stay pretty people!
