I've bought so many Christmas and winter themed books for Tyler Lee this year for his book advent calender and they're all safely wrapped up waiting to be put under on tree on December 1st. I had bought many of these books online and was waiting for a trip to my local Waterstones store to see their Christmas display, he has more than enough books at this stage but I really couldn't resist picking up a few more titles. We'll be reading these throughout the Christmas season and I think they're all really sweet books, ones we shall read every year for sure.
This is a Christmas classic and I remember watching the cartoon film of this story as a child. The inside of the book is a comic style strip which goes through Father Christmas' whole year, including his summer holiday until the calender arrives on his most important date of the year - December 24th. The book doesn't have many words but I had a great fun making up my own story to go with the pictures and keeping my boy entertained. Sometimes it's good to think on your feet!
My boy already has two versions of this book series and we love reading it so I thought this one would be lovely for reading at Christmas time. This book centers around a child who states all they love about Christmas with vast enthusiasm. The verses rhyme perfectly too making it fun to read aloud.
The tale of Father Christmas and his need for a wee! This story goes through all that Father Christmas has ate and drank in various houses he's visited - it's great for reading the numbers aloud and is fun to get the little ones involved with counting. Does Father Christmas make it to the toilet? You'll have to read to find out!
Winnie-the-Pooh is throwing a Christmas party but has forgotten to organise everything! This sweet little books follows him and his friends from the One-Hundred Acre Wood sourcing everything they need for their perfect party.
This is a super sweet book about the nativity story written in a lovely really lovely way by Dick Bruna. The white and gold hardback cover is for the 50th anniversary of this book and I just love the illustrations and all the kind faces the characters have. The book also has a beautiful angel page marker. This book is the epitome of Christmas for me.
These are the final books I shall be buying Tyler Lee this year. I think he has a good selection now of classic Christmas tales to the fun, more modern alternatives. We'll be doing lots of reading this Christmas!

I got uzbournes first Christmas words, the gruffalo, stickman and another Santa uzborne book with sound buttons on it.
Some lovely choices there! We've well grown out of children's books but have still kept our favourites...including one about Scrooge.

OH my, Father Christmas Needs A Wee sounds interesting! Definitely puts a unique spin on the general Christmas books.
One book that I wish would come back into more people's homes is Little Critter's Christmas Book. I read it as a child, and it was such a cute book. I think people would enjoy it.
Love these books, I need to buy some for Christmas gifts! Let's hope I find some of these at the store, they look very nice.

Awww, Christmas books galore. I love it! I have a few of those books. My son has his favorites. I especially like reading the Winnie the Pooh book.
I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but I just want to sit that last one out on my coffee table (you know, if I owned a coffee table). So simple & pretty.
I remember reading a few Christmas books as a kid. The one that sticks out the most is the night before Christmas one 🙂 Fond memories!

Our favorite Christmas story has always been 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. I have my old original Golden Book version from when I was a kid and now we read it to our son every year.
Winnie the Pooh is a delight this time of year. My son would love that one.

These are great Christmas books. I used to love reading all the different books with my little ones. Now they are teenagers and we watch Christmas movies instead.

My favorite Christmas stories are typed in a scrapbook that we read a page out of each night as a family. It was the countdown to Christmas book with a story and song for each night.
These all look like wonderful Christmas books! My 4 month old isn't into books yet but hopefully next year she will be. I will keep these in mind. Xo
