I always seem to pick up eye shadows even though I don't need them. I have a drawer full of eye shadows which are never used and it's a shame really but I can't help adding to my collection, especially when I get something for a bargain price. I picked up this lovely Rimmel eye shadow quad in 'Sweet Smoulder' from my local Dealz store which is the Irish version of Poundland. This was just €1.49, seriously, how could I leave it behind for that price? I think this quad is most probably old stock from Rimmel but I actually think the colours are very appropriate for spring and summer. My favourite colour on the quad is the hot pink which comes out as a gorgeous purpley/pink colour when mixed with the yellow and silver shades. In fact, I think the colour I ended up with on my eyelid was very similar to the Pantone colour of the year' radiant orchid' so wayhey for being on trend! I get great wear out of this quad and it's found it's way into my everyday makeup bag. The eye shadow doesn't crease as all which is fantastic because I really can't stand a creased eye shadow, it's not a good look! The only shade I stay clear of is the black, I just don't think dark shades like that suit me but would love to experiment more in the future with darker, smokier eye looks and see if I can be persuaded to wear them more. For just €1.49 I am super impressed with this eye shadow quad and it may have just swayed my opinion on the quality of Rimmel's products because I wasn't much of a fan before. This eye shadow quad states that it suits green eyes but I have blue and really it's quite suitable for all eye colours.
Do you like the look of this eye shadow quad? I think 'Sweet Smoulder' is perfect for daytime use and is also great if you want to create a vibrant smokey eye look for a night out.
