Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a big MAC fan, I just can't get enough of their products, notably their eye shadows, blushes and lipsticks. I was so happy to pick up two new MAC lipsticks recently, 'Twig' which has become one of my favourite lipstick shades ever and 'Girl About Town' a delightfully pink shade, perfect for getting you noticed. 'Girl About Town' is a lipstick I got through the Back To MAC scheme. I was immediately drawn to the colour, a stunning fuchsia pink with blue undertones which make the shade really stand out and match well to most skin tones. 'Girl About Town' is one of MAC's Amplified lipsticks which have fabulous pigmentation and a slight glossy look to them which just looks great on the lips. As with all my MAC lipsticks I find this to be quite moisturising and long wearing, once I apply this lipstick I'm good for a few hours without having to reapply. However, even though I do love the shade of this lipstick I find that I don't wear it as often as I should. The shade is quite bright and I have recently began wearing more demure, neutral makeup for daytime and I don't go out a lot at night so it just doesn't get the wear but I think I should begin wearing it more. This lipstick boasts that delicious smelling vanilla scent MAC lipsticks have and it's too good to resist a sniff before applying. Also, after I got 'Girl About Town' I noticed that it was very similar to another shade I have by MAC, their 'Lickable' lipstick, the only difference really being that 'Lickable' has a shimmer to it and may be slighter lighter than 'Girl About Town', in retrospect I should have chosen a totally different shade to try something new but I always seem to be drawn towards fuchsia pinks! I am happy to have this shade in my collection though as I can't resist a pink lipstick and the colour is absolutely gorgeous. As always I am super impressed by the quality and pigmentation of MAC lipstick, even though they are quite expensive I think they are totally worth the price and the longevity I get out of their lipsticks make it worth the money.
Stay pretty people!
