Since 2017, decorating a woodland Christmas tree has been a Christmas tradition for our family.It's something we look forward to doing each year and I love photographing the tradition.Christmas Day is one of the only days of the year that I don't pick up my camera, so these are great Christmas memories for us that I have documented.
Back in 2017 and when the boys were little, we told them that we were decorating this tree in the woods for the fairies' Christmas party - have to keep the magic alive with children's imaginations.
As you can see from Beau's face, this tradition is one that brings a lot of joy. It's so simple to do but a lovely family tradition to have each Christmas.
For nature lovers like us, this is a great way of incorporating the great outdoors into our Christmas celebrations.
We'll continue this tradition for as long as the boys are happy to join in. This Christmas we'll have a nine year old and a six year old, so hopefully they'll still be willing!
