6 Father's Day Gift Ideas For Dads Who Won't Be There On The Day

Father's Day is just around the corner, taking place this year on June 16th, and I'm a firm believer that it's a day that should receive just as much attention and thought as Mother's Day.

We're quite a unique family as family structures go. I have two fathers, my biological dad and my stepdad. Jacek's dad and my biological dad live in other countries, so, when it comes to choosing a Father's Day gift, it always has to be something that can be sent via post to them.

With this is mind and with Father's Day not too far away, I thought I'd share some lovely gift ideas for dads, that are perfect, even if they won't be there on the day.

1. Chocolate
Who doesn't love chocolate?! I know that both mine and Jacek's father love chocolate and it would make a perfect gift for them both. There are lots of amazing chocolate Father's Day gifts, available in a whole host of flavours and quantities to suit all budgets. Some can even be personalised for that extra special touch for Dad too.

2. A Personalised Photobook
This is a gift which I got for my Dad for his 60th birthday and he loved it! It was surprisingly simple to make online and the company sent it straight to him, which took all the hassle out of getting it to him for me. I also made Jacek one of these last Father's Day which you can see here if you're looking for some photobook inspiration. I think it's lovely to gift photos as it's a little trip down memory lane for everyone.

3. Man Bouquets

Who said that Dads can't enjoy a nice bouquet of flowers too? But even nicer is a beef jerky flower bouquet! This is a really unique gift but one that brings a whole lot of taste too. I know Jacek would love one of these! Available from manlymanco.com you can gift your Dad a delicious beef jerky bouquet and have it presented in a glass, beer mug, steel pint glass or a Bloody Mary kit. Along with the man bouquets, Manly Man Co also offer lots of other delicious gift boxes, meat hearts and so much more too.

4. An experience
This is another great gift idea as it allows you to choose an experience for your Dad that you know he'll enjoy at a location that's close to him. There's loads of sites offering experiences these days and with a whole host of them to choose from, you're bound to find something you know he'd love. One day I'm definitely going to get Jacek one for hot air ballooning as I know he'd love it! Experience gifts are usually sent by e-voucher too, meaning you don't even have to worry about posting!

5.. Tickets to see his favourite band/go to an event
Like the gift of an experience, as mentioned above, tickets are always a great gift idea too for Father's Day as it allows you to find an event/concert that you know your Dad will really love and at a location that is close to him.

Hopefully it won't be long until we can all enjoy concerts, comedy gigs, etc. again and this will be something that Dad can look forward to.

6.. A subscription service
There are so many subscription services available these days and for a whole host of things such as magazines, male grooming products, snacks, coffee, etc. that you're bound to find something that your Dad will love. The best thing about gifting a subscription service for Father's Day is that it won't just be one gift, but a monthly treat for your Dad to look forward to (or be surprised with if you don't tell him it's a subscription!).

Hopefully this post has given you some gift inspiration for your own Dad this Father's Day, even if you won't be there in person to celebrate with him on the day.
