9 Amazing Nature Themed Gifts For Babies & Children ♥

As a family of outdoor lovers I am always on the lookout for things for the boys that give a nod to nature.

I've shared my plans for a woodland themed toddler bedroom for Beau - his room already adorned with lots of nature themed things, and with Christmas coming up, I've been on the lookout for some gorgeous gifts that have a nod to the great outdoors for them.

Here are some of the lovely nature themed gifts I've come across and which will hopefully give you some gift inspiration for your very own little nature lovers.

Inch Blue Mr. Fox Chocolate Soft Sole Shoes (£20)
Are these not the most adorable shoes to grace little feet with?! These adorable shoes come in a suede sole - perfect for newborns and pre-walkers and also a Gripz natural rubber sole which makes them perfect for outdoor adventures too!

Beau wears the suede sole shoes around the house and he loves wearing them! They are so easy to put on with their elasicated top and are so comfy for little feet to wear, not tight or restricting in the slightest.

The shoes are made from cow napa leather and are super soft and supple. The little fox design makes them perfect for little nature lovers adventures through the woods too!

Bigjigs Toys Small Tote Bag With Tools (£15.49)
What better gift for a little nature lover than a bag of gardening tools so that they can learn to tend to the Earth and grow their own flowers and produce?!

This small tote bag from Bigjigs Toys is just adorable and comes with everything a budding little gardener needs - a spade, trowel, watering can, gloves and rake - all they need is some seeds and then little ones can garden to their hearts content!

Oregon Scientific Smart Globe Myth (£39.99) which is such an amazing gift for little nature lovers who want to learn more about the world they live in. The Oregon Scientific Smart Globe Myth acts as a globe, night light and bedtime story-teller extraordinaire!

When in day mode, the globe offers a detailed map of the world, detailing political boundaries, ocean and country names and capital cities. Then, at the touch of a button, it transforms into night mode and into an illuminated map of the world! This makes it perfect for children who find a night light soothing and who are curious about the stars, as the globe offers the names of the stars and constellations and the planets too.

The Oregon Scientific Smart Globe Myth also includes fairy tales, zodiac stories and Earth facts audio content, designed to help children sleep and to learn more about the world they live in - this is such an amazing feature and one I know my boys will absolutely love!

Using a tablet or smartphone, children can also unlock Augmented Reality content including landmarks, animals, weather facts and dinosaurs - how cool is that?! This globe is such a learning source and I love that aspect to it. It makes it the perfect gift for children 5+ who are curious about the world around them.

aden + anais Dandelion Classic Dream Blanket (£58)
If you have a little nature lover who loves to snuggle up when indoors then you can't go wrong with the gift on an aden + anais classic dream blanket. These blankets are divine! We have a couple now and the designs are always beautiful.

I particularly love this dandelion print (or 'wishes' as my boys call them!). The metallic print is such a lovely touch and makes the blanket all the more special and a lovely one to gift at Christmas time.

aden + anais classic dream blankets are always made from the highest quality 100% cotton muslin, big enough for children to snuggle up and keep warm in (120cm X 120cm) and beautiful to have on display in a child's room too - I always keep one of Beau's aden + anais classic dream blankets on the side of his cot ready for naptime.

Discovery Mud Pie Kitchen (€299)
This is one of the best gifts you could give an outdoor-loving child. It'll have kids learning about all the little critters that live in the mud in their gardens and making fabulous muddy creations too! If you're handy at DIY you can have a go at making one quite cheaply from palettes and some old kitchen utensils. You could even personalise it for your child with paint and their name on it too.

If you're not DIY savvy don't dispair, you can also buy mud kitchens from the likes of Plum who have the amazing Discovery Mud Pie Kitchen (linked and pictured above thanks to the lovely Harriet from Toby and Roo for letting me use her image). This mud kitchen has everything little ones need to whip up some fantastic muddy creations out in the garden.

Deer Sleepsuit ($32.95AUD)
In my opinion, Australian based shops have the most gorgeous clothing, toys and accessories to offer for children and this deer sleepsuit from Cheeky Chickadee is no exception - I just wish it came in a bigger size! Can you tell I'm obsessed with anything deer related?!

Cheeky Chickadee have a wide range of prints available and their clothing is beautiful! This deer print is one of my faves and is on my wish list for when I have another baby. They deliver worldwide too with free delivery on international orders over $100.

Little Blue Nest Little Robin Cot Sheet (£28)
This is the absolute sweetest print and a perfect one to gift a little one with at Christmas time! I love robins and fell in love with this print the moment I saw it. It's so unique and would be a perfect addition to any little one's nursery.

The cot sheet comes packaged in a presentation box, making it a perfect gift to receive even if it's opened!

Bambi Fawn Lamp (£108)
This lamp is on the pricier end of the gift scale but oh my goodness is it a thing of beauty! Look at it! I think it's absolutely stunning and a perfect gift for a little nature lover to have on display in their room.

It's on my wish list for Beau's room and I think it's just precious!

Jumbo Magnifying Glass (£3.75)
You will be amazed at just how much fun kids can have with a magnifying glass - I know I was! My boys received their first magnifying glass just this summer and it kept them entertained outside for hours!

At just £3.75 this is such an affordable gift and would make a great stocking-filler this Christmas. I may just have to get another so they're not fighting over who gets a turn!
