A Pretty DIY Easter Tree ♥

Every year I make an Easter tree and this is my effort for 2020. I have no doubt that this Easter will be unlike any other, what with all that's going on in the world, but on day 14 of our self isolation and day 14 of the kids having no school, I decided to put our Easter tree together to give a little cheerfulness to our home.

I love having seasonal decor. Anyone who follows my Instagram @dollydowsie, will know just how much I love to embrace the seasons and having elements of the seasons within my home is something I love.

We're lucky enough to have a woodland just a minute from our house, so during the week the boys and I collected some fallen branches on our walk. I wanted to find ones with nice fanned twigs for hanging our little decorated eggs. We found some lovely ones to take home.

I hung pale blue ribbons from the twigs and hung colourful decorated eggs. I used a vintage jug and bowl to hold the little tree. I'm not sure how old it is but I think it makes a nice addition to my little Easter display.

I wanted to find some blossom twigs to add to my little tree but sadly there's no blossom in bloom right now, so I added some dried gypsophila because I always love to have some flowers included in all I do and I think it's nice to have some blossom for something that represents 'new life'.

I added my beautiful Easter wreath that my Nan gifted me for my 29th birthday and my Peter Rabbit decorations to my Easter table too, as well as a basket which will hold Easter eggs closer to Easter Sunday.

I have plenty of decorations left over so I might make another little Easter tree for the hall and let the kids decorate it. It's a lovely thing to put together each year and it always helps to make the house a bit more colourful and cheerful - which is very much needed during this time.

Do you make an Easter tree each year? You can see mine from previous years here if you're in need of even more inspiration.

  5. What a fun idea! We might have to do an Easter tree next year. I love all the colors. Although I think my cats might attack it, so I'd have to put it way up.
