we get terrible limescale in our water, boiling white vinegar in the kettle is great for getting rid of any build up
ReplyDeleteIf you have an enclosed shower cubicle leave the door open after a shower until all the walls have dried, dramatically reduces black mould
ReplyDeleteClean as you go and then it never seems such a big job...
ReplyDeleteDon't let stains dry - keep them moist - makes removing so much easier
ReplyDeleteIf you get biro on clothes spraying hairspray on it before washing helps to remove it, but maybe ACE would work better?

ReplyDeletewhite vinegar and scrunched up newspaper makes glass sparkly clean
ReplyDeletePut a bowl full of boiling water with lemon juice & the peel into the microwave for 5 minutes and it makes it much easier to clean :)
ReplyDeleteI have a handheld hoover, it helps to clean those hard to reach areas and also good for cleaning the stairs. I also use a vinegar solution to clean the oven and the microwave.

ReplyDeleteTooth whitening toothpaste on some cotton wool/buds gets rid of the black from silver jewellery
ReplyDeleteIf you burn the bottom of pan put some hot water in and a spoonful of baking powder . Leave to soak a while it brings it off less scrubbing.

ReplyDeleteClean silver jewellery with whitening toothpaste using cotton wool pad/buds and it takes away that horrible black. Do this to my earrings and brings them up a treat
ReplyDeleteI squeeze the juice of a lemon into a little water to wipe around the inside of the fridge. It gets rid of any lingering smells and cleans really nicely.
ReplyDeleteif mud is on the carpet let it dry do not attempt to clean wet mud it just makes it worse
ReplyDeleteIf you have a shower then you need to buy some white vinegar spray! After cleaning spray a little on to your shower screen and watch it gleam!

ReplyDeleteThe quickest way to clean the toilet is to rub it over with toilet paper first, then go over it with an antibacterial wipe, then pour bleach down.
ReplyDeleteMicrowave half a lemon in water and leave for 5 mins, then you can wipe it clean and smells great
ReplyDeleteTo easily get off splatters inside the microwave, half fill a cup with water and microwave on full for a few minutes. The steam will loosen any baked on food to make it easier to clean.
ReplyDeleteTo clean a Thermos flask put a little washing powder in the bottom and fill with boiling water. Leave until cool, empty and rinse well.

ReplyDeleteUse a little bleach in your washing up bowl, it will make glasses sparkle and also remove any stains from your dish cloth.
ReplyDeleteIf you washing machine is starting to smell, add white wine vinegar in with a white wash. Makes the drum smell nice and clean again and makes your clothes lovely and bright x
ReplyDeletebaking soda ( not baking powder ) and white vinegar mixed into a paste and applied to the oven will just eat through the grime!
ReplyDeleteWhen opening a bottle/jar of anything messy, stand it in a sandwich bag as soon as it is opened. Then any runs etc go into the bag and your shelf/cupboard don't get dirty/sticky

ReplyDeletePop half a lemon in a bowl of water and pop in the microwave for a bit. Microwave easily wipes clean and smells lemon fresh.
