My Daily Blogging Schedule | How I Get 25,000+ Page Views A Week ♥

* I have since published an update on my daily blogging schedule, click here to read about how I get 42,000+ page views a week with my new schedule and methods.

I've been blogging for almost two and a half years now but it's only recently that I've stopped resting on my laurels and stepped up my blogging work and my promotion of it to begin getting my words and photography out there to a wider audience. I wasn't going to write this post, but after noticing how many page views my blog was averaging a week and sharing it on my personal Facebook page, some blogging friends were curious as to what I do daily to achieve these results.

I'm not going to lie, achieving these views takes a whole lot of work and I probably spend way too much time blogging than is probably healthy! I can't help it though, my blog is my passion and I'm completely obsessed with it - if there's such a thing as being a workaholic then that is definitely what I am with my blog, however, I really enjoy it and don't see any of these things as a chore and that's why I think it's been a success for me.

This is what I do every single day for my blog, even at the weekends. As I said in a previous post - you need to work for your blog, you can't just let it work for you.

I can't believe how successful this process of post promotion has been for me. I've seen my blog jump from 40,000+ page views a month to 94,000+ and these numbers seem to be growing every week, it has been absolutely amazing! By nine o'clock every morning my blog has gained over 1,200 page views and it's great to know that so many people have been reading it over night.

This is my own, self-made marketing strategy and it has been a complete success for myself and the other bloggers who partake in the reciprocation threads. It's great that us bloggers are all supporting each other and making each others posts available to a wider audience, gaining a reach that we'd have never have achieved alone and lets be honest, no blogger has the funds to boost every Facebook post or tweet of theirs, I find it ridiculous you have to do this anyway when you've built up a following on these sites.

My desk is where I spend the majority of my morning, noon and nights but I'm enjoying what I'm doing and trying to make it a success so I think it's important to put in the hard work and graft along with my determination. I don't want to be internet famous, I just want to have a popular space to air my views, thoughts and loves with the world. Blogging gives me another sense of purpose in life, apart from being a mother of course, but this is for me, it's my hobby, my passion, my own thing and I want it to be a success. There was a time not so long ago when I felt useless and down on myself, blogging has given me a new sense of purpose. It's like my second baby and to see it thrive is one of the best feelings ever.

What I'll also point out though is that Twitter, Facebook and the other social media sites aren't even my top traffic source, my SEO and Google prominence seems to be really good and my most popular traffic sources every week come from people stumbling across my old posts via Google searches - which reminds me to update the awful photos in those posts!

I've added the above blogging schedule to this post as an image just in case anyone would like to download it and follow these steps themselves. Of course, not everyone is interested in blog promotion and that's perfectly okay but if you're someone like myself who relies on their blog then I think promotion is a necessary thing to do.

You can read my other posts about how I tripled my blog traffic in one month - where you can also find the names of the Facebook groups I use for promotion and my post on whether or not blog promotion actually works - where I share my post stat results over a two week period.

I hope this post has given people an insight into my daily blogging schedule and just how hard I work on this little blog of mine, all of which I thoroughly enjoy. It's absolutely amazing to see your hard work paying off and to see that people are interested in your blog and are reading your posts, admiring your pictures and engaging with you on social media. It means an awful lot to a writer or blogger such as myself and I am forever grateful to those who take the time to stop by my blog and for all the opportunities it has given me.

  1. Great post Fiona! We have pretty similar blogging schedules. I love it though and wouldn't change it, i'm often up at 2/3am re-tweeting posts from the blogging groups haha! Im not sure if you use it but have you looked into Buffer? It's great for scheduling tweets and you can re-buffer them so they schedule again without having to write them out again. xx

    1. Thanks so much Kerry! I'm the same, really love it and it's great to have the passion for it isn't it? Haha I think you're way more dedicated than me though, I'm never up during the night if I can help it, although I began blogging at half 4 the other morning - crazy! I've never heard of Buffer before but thanks for the tip, must check it out x

  6. This is amazing, thank you! You work so hard for your lovely blog that you thoroughly deserve the success coming your way. I will definitely use all these hints and tips. I have been struggling with blog promotion - as a new-ish blogger it takes me so long to just take photos I like, so the rest has pretty much taken a backseat, but this is amazing and gives me a fab plan to work towards. Congratulations on the stats, and thanks again :)

  7. Great schedule. I don't have a schedule as such but sometimes I do wish I had one in place because some stuff I was supposed to do gets lost and then it's too late to do the next day.

  12. I'm not a blogger but, wow, I'm impressed with how much dedication you have. I think many people think it's easy to be a successful blogger, but it's so not easy. I can tell which bloggers put in the effort and which don't. Either way is fine of course. I'm just saying that, as a reader, I get how much time and work it takes and can see the differences between blogs. You have a lot to be proud of. :)

  13. Wow that is a serious amount of work and glad to see it is paying off :) I by the way really enjoyed your post about stumble upon for beginners and have dabbled with it too now :) well done for effort! Hootsuite like buffer is good for scheduling tweets too, I usually use buffer nowadays as it is very quick to re schedule tweets and you can easily see the ones that are doing the best :)

  16. I think you've done so well. It goes to show hard work pays off, and your stats are great. It's a shame that this kind of blog promotion seems to be a US blogger thing. I wish British/Irish bloggers would work with this kind of community engagement. Thanks for sharing your tips :)

  17. Congrats! That is awesome. I have been stuck around 1800 to 2000 a month. It's frustrating. I've promoted like crazy and I've worked my butt off but nothing seems to work. I commend you on your efforts. I also have a set schedule for myself as well. I have no idea what I seem to be doing wrong. It's seriously bumming me out! Hopefully I can find my way to where you are in the next few years.

  18. This is really helpful, thank you. One question, I can't find any of the twitter retweet threads you mention on Facebook. I can find straight 'follow' threads but nothing where you actually RT others' posts. Would you be able to point me towards one or two? x

  24. I really liked this post, I've saved that image!

I'm at the stage where I'm trying to juggle Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram all at once! Slowly trying to gain more followers and broaden my audience but I feel like there's too much to do and not enough hours in the day!

I've not had much luck with Stumbleupon, probably 70 views so far and they're all on the posts I didn't expect to be viewed much. So weird.

I am new to your side, but I wonder, you are blogging fulltime, right? Are you earning an income with it? I appologize that those are money-questions, but since I am trying to grow my blog I've been super curious about those kind of information. Can't wait to read more in your blog!

  36. This is awesome. Just this past week I started getting up with the hubby and making 5:30am until 7:30am my blogging time, and then doing small things through the day. THIS is a GREAT schedule that would keep me focused instead of being all over the place. THANK YOU for sharing.

  37. Thank you for all these tips!! It is a TON of work, but I definitely agree that it's worth it. I do need to get more active on Twitter & Facebook though. I tried going to the link you sent others about your FB group, but it was not working. Are there any other groups you have created or joined that have been effective? Thank you! xx

  39. This is a brilliant post! I always try to boost my blog via my social media but I have got a bit lazy with it all lately, am going to be following your advice to the letter!

Quick question - have you found stumbleupon brings in a lot of traffic? I use the site quite a lot to rate other peoples articles and always upload my own pages once I post them, as well as including a stumbleupon pin on each of my blog pages but so far have had like 2 people come over from there! Does it get better!?

    Thanks,
