Last weekend whilst clearing out my cupboard I discovered that I had seven MAC empties and any MAC addict like myself knows what this means - a free lipstick from Back To MAC with one left over to save for next time! I went to the MAC store in my city and lustfully swatched a lot of lipsticks, mostly from the cremesheen range, I just love this formula, it's creamy and wears well on my lips. I even went so far as to swatch an all gold lipstick, trying to convince myself that the colour would be perfect for the festive season but having reasoned with myself and realising I would never in my life wear a gold lipstick in my daily life I settled on 'Crosswires', a beautiful coral shade with hints of orange and pink and a gorgeous shimmer effect, a signature of MAC's cremesheen range. I love this shade and although the colour, when first applied, is not as strong as in other MAC lipsticks I have tried the colour does become opaque when applied to the lips more than once during application. I have noticed that this lipstick is no good for lips if they are chapped or dry in the slightest way as it settles in fine lines so exfoliating and keeping your lips in tip top moisture is an essential with this shade, luckily I'm fortunate enough to have my Raspberry Lemonade Lip Polish from Sugar and Butter.
This shade is perfect for all year round use and the hue of it is so pretty, I really do love it and I'm so glad it caught my eye. I was on the hunt for a gorgeous coral lipstick and now I have acquired two 'Crosswires' and 'Sunny Seoul'. A few more shades have caught my eye from MAC and hopefully I'll be adding them to my collection in the new year. Having got 'Crosswires' my MAC lipstick collection is now a ripe number of nine, I need to make this a ten soon.
What a stunning shade - it goes straight onto the ever growing list of must have shades from MAC :o)! Xx
