ReplyDeleteWhen I'm decorating a bedroom I try to use muted colours, and keep everything plain with no patterns. I make make sure that there's not much on the walls, no clutter or knick knacks anywhere if I can. (Hard sometimes when you don't have much space, but I'd rather shove it all in another room if I can.) It creates a calmer environment that really feels like a place of rest.

ReplyDeleteFor me it is all about cushions and your bedside tables. I love my cushions I got in the sale super cheap it adds some glam to my bedroom! Also I love having a few ornaments and frames around to make it homely.

ReplyDeleteIf in doubt go silver. It's fairly neutral and you will always find it, and matching accessories, in the shops. It's quite versatile too as it can work on it's own or if you get bored you can swop in some colour and it stills goes x

ReplyDeleteBought a sticker blossom tree for my daughters wall but the trunk kept peeling off. In the end I used traced around the tree and painted it with a small brown tester pot. Looks better than the sticker!

ReplyDeleteI love string lights and warm glow fake candles (or real of course, but I have always gone for the fake ones) to give the room a nice cosy feel. Light walls/colours, especially in smaller rooms and a nice big mirror gives the feeling of more space

ReplyDeleteI like to use plain paint on the walls but use a extra large canvas board covered in striking wallpaper to create a feature wall. You can change the wallpaper every season without mess, if you'd like.

ReplyDeleteI don't really have any decor inspiration to share but on a feng shui level, if you are single, take note to have double of everything to encourage a new partner, so no pictures of you and your cat, place two hearts on the wall above the bed, as if a couple are already living there together and this should attract a partner.

ReplyDeleteI got a free pine dining table and chairs given to me last year, bit tatty but sanded it back and repainted it in white/grey and it now looks amazing! Didn't take very long and with a coat of decorators varnish it has kept in great condition whilst being used daily! You wouldn't even know it had been upcycled :-)
