Halloween & Autumn Themed Books For Toddlers ♥

I love getting Tyler Lee themed books for seasons and occasions and with autumn finally making it's appearance here in Ireland and Halloween just around the corner I went in search of some autumn and Halloween themed books for him. I have to admit, it was quite difficult to find books in an autumn theme in my local Waterstones, I was also surprised that they didn't have a table display full of Halloween books in the children's section, something which they usually do for holidays. When I inquired I was told that the display would be going up next week and that I was expecting it far too early on October 2nd - I hardly think so when the shops are full of Christmas stuff already! I shall be venturing in there again next week and sharing what I manage to get my hands on then but until then I wanted to share these four lovely books with you all that I picked up for my boy.

I've come across so many parents in search of autumn themed books and the two I've gotten are absolutely lovely books, my favourite of the bunch being 'Millie-Mae in Autumn'. This book is illustrated so beautifully and has lovely touches such a shimmery golden leaves and glittered wind trails. I think the book just captures the spirit of autumn perfectly and it's such a lovely book to look at whilst reading. This book is also available in the other seasons too. 'Penguin and Pumpkin' is another sweet book about a penguin who is curious about autumn and goes on an adventure to a faraway farm to discover all the delights the season has to offer and how to share them with someone special. It really is a heart-warming book about family and friendship.

As for the Halloween selection I searched the shelves and came across 'Room On the Broom', a book by the author of 'The Gruffalo' and 'Zog' - favourites of ours so I knew Tyler Lee would love this one just as much about a witch and her cat on a broomstick. I love the rhyming verses of this book. 'Wickle Woo Has A Halloween Party' is a proper little toddler board book with pull on tabs throughout. The tabs feature all the guests at Wickle Woo's Halloween party and this really is a fun little book for little ones. I've decided to get Tyler Lee some Halloween themed books this year instead of sweets and chocolate. I think the books will be far more beneficial to him, I've stated before that I think books are the perfect gift for little ones, plus they're super fun for his bedtime story time.

I shall be venturing to my local Waterstones again next week to see their Halloween display and what other great themed titles they have to offer. Can you recommend any great autumn or Halloween themed books for toddlers?
