21 Week Pregnancy Update | Baby #2 ♥

This is my first pregnancy update in 2016 and I can officially say that I'm having a baby this year, yay! This week has been much better health wise and I'm feeling really positive, although I've also had some bouts of anxiety at night time, mainly over worrying about Tyler Lee - does the mummy worry ever end?! I've begun thinking about what I need to get for this baby and at the moment the only real things on my list, bar clothing, is bottles and a new cot - I really want a white cot with a drawer underneath because I don't want to store the baby's clothes in a wardrobe this time.

This week I also began looking at clothes for the baby, mainly from shops on Etsy which sell the most beautiful handmade clothing for little ones - all the nice ones I've spotted are based in Australia and New Zealand but thankfully the postage is very reasonable. I've ordered three one of a kind rompers for the baby, all with Beatrix Potter/Peter Rabbit fabric and they're perfect for a summer baby. The great thing is, the lovely lady who owns the shop only makes one off pieces so it's nice to know that my baby will be the only one sporting these things and everyone knows how much I love all things Beatrix Potter!

This week I've also begun thinking about names and have some pop into my head that I didn't even know I liked. I want something with a beachy feel (is that even a thing when it comes to names), but as of now I'm yet to find the 'perfect' name for this little babe.

This week...

Baby is the size of a - Large brioche a tete, according to my Ovia pregnancy app. I'm loving being able to see baby's size in relation to Parisian bakery treats.

I'm looking forward to - the anomaly scan where we'll get to see baby in more detail and for twenty minutes, I'm still waiting for my appointment to come through but hopefully it'll be soon.

My favourite moment was - finding some gorgeous clothing for the baby - all those hours on Instagram haven't been in vain!

I've been feeling - much better but a little tired also, Tyler Lee is going through a phase of crying in the night and I've been bringing him into my bed to soothe him and give him some reassuring cuddles.

I've been buying for baby - some gorgeous summer rompers, it's so lovely being able to buy summer clothes in 0-3 months.

I'm missing - my energy drinks, as I don't drink coffee I'm really missing some pep to get me through a day after broken sleep.

I'm craving - nothing at all, I thought I'd have more cravings throughout this pregnancy but they're few and far between.

I'm loving - looking at all the gorgeous baby clothes available and being able to make plans for the nursery.
I've been meaning to - find a place to put the baby things I've bought already, I'll have to do it soon as right now they're sitting in a bag, for shame!

I can't wait for - my appointment dates to come in so I know when I'll be seeing the baby again.

  1. my daughter has been upset at night times. I know she is a lot older than TL but i've also comforted her in my bed and i think its her anxieties over the fact i'm having an operation and she knows. Sometimes changes can unsettle kids. It is lovely cuddling our children isn't it! :) Angela

  2. It's so exciting being able to say you are having a baby this year, it makes it sound so much closer! I love the little Peter Rabbit dungarees, how fab is it that your baby will be the only baby wearing these! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy,

  3. Congrats on your 21st week! Goodness the first photograph reminded me of my love for Peter Rabbit. I had all sorts of Peter Rabbit baby stuff when I was pregnant with my daughter :)

  4. How exciting!!! I love that peter rabbit outfit. I also missed energy drinks during pregnancy and I rarely drink them now either as I breastfeed so not allowed them often! xx

  5. I love the sound of the handmade romper suits, can't wait to see them, please take pictures! It must be so exciting making nursery plans and buying clothes, I wish I could go back and savour that excitement a bit!xx

  6. Congratulations! Having a baby is such an exciting time and it is beautiful that you can record it all on your blog. I didn't crave anything either .... let's hope it stays that way for you.

I look forward to hearing more about your pregnancy journey!

  7. Congrats on your pregnancy! We have been trying to get pregnant for a while and it hasn't happened yet, but hopefully soon. I love all the sweet clothes you picked out.

  8. It’s refreshing to read your pregnancy journal. I’ve known some women who have strong cravings that they would get too emotional. I know Instagram is a great place to shop and you need to check out some local stores too.

  9. I hope all is going well with your pregnancy. How exciting to be shopping for your sweet one on the way. That's great that you support Etsy shop owners! Have fun shopping :)

  10. Congrats! Love the adorable little romper with Peter the Rabbit! So precious! I remember reading peter the rabbit books to both my kids when they were little.

  11. What an exciting time! I really miss being pregnant but 3 kids was enough for me. Cherish it all, pregnancy goes by so quickly.

  12. You're halfway there and it's getting even more exciting! How fun that you've picked out a few outfits already. I can't wait to hear what you end up naming the little one.

  13. Oh my gosh, you're Beatrix Potter/Peter Rabbit items are to DIE for. I want them for myself tbh. So glad all is going well so far xx

  14. Everything's so exciting when you've a baby on the way. I think Peter Rabbit and BP is perfect for babies. N still has a soft toy peter rabbit that his Gran gave him when he was born. It's a bit tatty, but he still loves it at nearly age 5

  15. It's exciting when you hit the 1/2 way mark. Congrats on 21 weeks of pregnancy the best is yet to come. Do take some time for your self with a massage or mani-pedi as it is relaxing and all moms know its a good thing to do for yourself.

  16. That is absolutely exciting to be halfway there! I always looked forward to my appointments to see bitty baby, too! I also feel your pain with the no caffeine thing during pregnancy. It is tough!

  17. Ah Fi the suspense of waiting to find out if the baby is a little boy or girl! I still have to write a list of the things I need to get for our new baby too. Glad you're feeling better and wishing you all the best with the scan :) x

  18. I hope you have an easy delivery. My youngest is 19 months and gosh it seems just like yesterday I brought him home. I never drank coffee until I had kids now I have to have at least one cup a day. You are almost there!! :)

  19. Love your cute updates! They are so adorable. You have a lot of flare for pictures too. Good luck with Tyler Lee. Hope he is a bit better next week and able to sleep a bit more.
