21 Week Pregnancy Update | Baby #2 ♥

This is my first pregnancy update in 2016 and I can officially say that I'm having a baby this year, yay! This week has been much better health wise and I'm feeling really positive, although I've also had some bouts of anxiety at night time, mainly over worrying about Tyler Lee - does the mummy worry ever end?! I've begun thinking about what I need to get for this baby and at the moment the only real things on my list, bar clothing, is bottles and a new cot - I really want a white cot with a drawer underneath because I don't want to store the baby's clothes in a wardrobe this time.

This week I also began looking at clothes for the baby, mainly from shops on Etsy which sell the most beautiful handmade clothing for little ones - all the nice ones I've spotted are based in Australia and New Zealand but thankfully the postage is very reasonable. I've ordered three one of a kind rompers for the baby, all with Beatrix Potter/Peter Rabbit fabric and they're perfect for a summer baby. The great thing is, the lovely lady who owns the shop only makes one off pieces so it's nice to know that my baby will be the only one sporting these things and everyone knows how much I love all things Beatrix Potter!

This week I've also begun thinking about names and have some pop into my head that I didn't even know I liked. I want something with a beachy feel (is that even a thing when it comes to names), but as of now I'm yet to find the 'perfect' name for this little babe.

This week...

Baby is the size of a - Large brioche a tete, according to my Ovia pregnancy app. I'm loving being able to see baby's size in relation to Parisian bakery treats.

I'm looking forward to - the anomaly scan where we'll get to see baby in more detail and for twenty minutes, I'm still waiting for my appointment to come through but hopefully it'll be soon.

My favourite moment was - finding some gorgeous clothing for the baby - all those hours on Instagram haven't been in vain!

I've been feeling - much better but a little tired also, Tyler Lee is going through a phase of crying in the night and I've been bringing him into my bed to soothe him and give him some reassuring cuddles.

I've been buying for baby - some gorgeous summer rompers, it's so lovely being able to buy summer clothes in 0-3 months.

I'm missing - my energy drinks, as I don't drink coffee I'm really missing some pep to get me through a day after broken sleep.

I'm craving - nothing at all, I thought I'd have more cravings throughout this pregnancy but they're few and far between.

I'm loving - looking at all the gorgeous baby clothes available and being able to make plans for the nursery.
I've been meaning to - find a place to put the baby things I've bought already, I'll have to do it soon as right now they're sitting in a bag, for shame!

I can't wait for - my appointment dates to come in so I know when I'll be seeing the baby again.

  1. my daughter has been upset at night times. I know she is a lot older than TL but i've also comforted her in my bed and i think its her anxieties over the fact i'm having an operation and she knows. Sometimes changes can unsettle kids. It is lovely cuddling our children isn't it! :) Angela

  2. It's so exciting being able to say you are having a baby this year, it makes it sound so much closer! I love the little Peter Rabbit dungarees, how fab is it that your baby will be the only baby wearing these! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy,

  8. It’s refreshing to read your pregnancy journal. I’ve known some women who have strong cravings that they would get too emotional. I know Instagram is a great place to shop and you need to check out some local stores too.

  14. Everything's so exciting when you've a baby on the way. I think Peter Rabbit and BP is perfect for babies. N still has a soft toy peter rabbit that his Gran gave him when he was born. It's a bit tatty, but he still loves it at nearly age 5
