Super Cheap Ways To Spruce Up Your Home

At this time of year it can be difficult to find the money to do any home renovation projects. This can be frustrating because it’s likely that you want to invite guests over for the festive period, and you also want your home to look nice. Luckily, there are some inexpensive ways to give your home a whole new look without breaking the bank, or taking too much of your time either. Here’s how you can spruce up your home for a super cheap price tag.

A lick of paint
Sometimes all a room needs to seem like new is a simple lick of paint. Whether you decide to go for a different colour, or you want to freshen up your current colour, paint is fairly inexpensive to buy from most hardware stores. You may want to try scrubbing your walls with diluted soapy water first to see if that’s all your walls needed. If there’s any dents or holes in your walls, grab some wall filler while you’re at it and make any necessary repairs.

Make new cushions

Cushions can completely change the way a room looks and feels. Rather than heading out and spending lots of money on new cushions for your home, why not make them out of old clothing or material that you have lying around? You can easily get foam cut to size and simply use some basic sewing skills for a whole new look to your room.

If your sofa is a bit limp due to overuse, it might be an idea to restuff the base cushions to make it look new. You can make use of foam cushion replacement service and get your old couch looking like new again for the fraction of the cost of buying a new couch.

Change the curtains

If your curtains have been up for some time, it might be an idea to change the curtains in your home. They’re fairly cheap to buy and widely available with a plethora of different colours and patterns available. Doing this may result in you changing your colour scheme, but it will definitely make your home look like new.

Move furniture around

Sometimes all a room needs is a rearrange. Take a look at your rooms to see if there’s any other way that you could have them that would make sense, and possibly create more space. Also, moving furniture can often reveal dust and dirt you didn’t know about so cleaning that up will help too.

Create a feature wall

This doesn’t have to be an expensive wallpaper job either. A feature wall can be anything that draws the eye to it. You could mount your television on the wall, or hang a mirror to draw the eye in. Here are some fabulous feature wall ideas for you to take inspiration from.

Give it a deep clean

Finally, giving your home a deep clean can make the world of difference to how it looks and feels. Declutter, scrub, and vacuum and you’ll soon find your home feels as good as new.

Try these ideas for super cheap ways to spruce up your home - just in time for spring!
