The Joli Rouge lipsticks I got to try out were Papaya, Soft Berry and Grenadine*, all gorgeous shades which I think are particularly perfect for this time of year with their orange, berry and soft red hues. These lipsticks have the loveliest scent, it's very fruity, inspired by red berries and so appealing, it makes you want to keep reapplying just so you can smell it again and again!
These lipsticks have great pigmentation and a gorgeous shimmer infused shine which really does look so pretty on the lips. Because of the lipstick formulation it's intensely hydrating and goes so smoothly onto the lips - one swipe gives fantastic colour which can be built on for a more daring look. Can we just take a minute to appreciate the gorgeous gold packaging on these lipsticks? They definitely have a more luxurious look and feel to them and that's something I like to have in my makeup collection, especially if they're products I use on a daily basis. Everyone appreciates stunning packaging, especially when it comes to higher-end makeup.

I've only recently begun using lipliner, having been inspired by the Kylie Jenner voluptuous lip look and the Joli Rouge range of nude lipliners are just perfect, there really is a shade to suit everyone and every lipstick shade available. As you can see in the lipstick swatch pictures above, the lipliners simply enhance and frame the lipstick shade, they don't look gawdy or too 'out there', they're subtle but make an impact - does that even make sense?! Having four shades to choose from is great because you can choose a shade which best suits the shade of lipsticks you usually wear.
My favourite lipliner from the collection is Nude Rose, which is the second from the left in the picture above. It just looks great with all the lipsticks I'm wearing at the moment and acts as the perfect frame for the lips.
The Clarins Joli Rogue lipsticks are €23 and there are 25 stunning shades to chose from. The Joli Rouge nude lipliner pencils are €17.50. All Clarins products can be found in Debenhams stores nationwide.
*I was sent lip products from the Clarins new Joli Rogue collection for the purposes of this review. As always all thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own.
I love the soft berry!! It looks beautiful on you. The grenadine is a lovely colour for the autumn. You are lucky to have all 3, it'd be so hard to choose one! x
ReplyDeleteI'm also a total lipstick addict, I have so many and most of them I hardly use, I just stick to 3 or 4 that are my favourites! I've never tried any Clarins ones but these look gorgeous, especially the Grenadine one!

Love the papaya with nude liner. Huge fan of nudes. The packaging is so pretty, remind me of YSL.
ReplyDeleteLovely lipstick colours! I really loved the Soft Berry! xx
ReplyDeleteThat last one looks really lovely on you. I rarely put lippy on unless im going out out!
ReplyDeleteI don't own one lipstick (I've got a couple of glosses), because I can never find one that doesn't make me look like I'm a 5 year old wearing my mum's lippy. I do like the look of the grenadine one
ReplyDeleteI love the papaya colour lipstick on you looks great. I am more of a lipgloss person at the moment, i like to keep my lips moist when autumn comes because i suffer terrible from chapped lips
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting into this brand and I love it, I have some creams and they smell so old fashioned but lovely!
