I have recently been lucky enough to sample some of the delights from the IsaDora Nude Essentials Collection for spring 2015 and I have to admit that I have been left highly impressed not only by IsaDora's range of products and the shades involved but also at how well the products themselves have worked for me. I'll be honest, before I got to sample these products I had never used anything by IsaDora before, mistakenly thinking it was a brand for the more mature lady - which it certainly is not. The Nude Essentials Collection for spring is a fabulous collection indeed, offering pretty neutral tones and all the concealing and tricks you need to give your skin a perk for those warmer spring days. The word which comes to mind when I think of these products is 'pretty', the shades picked by IsaDora for the eye shadow palette, the face sculptor and the matt lips pencils are all really pretty and perfect for creating the perfect spring makeup look. I've even discovered a new holy grail product of mine from this collection so I'm really excited to share my thoughts on it all with you.
IsaDora Protect Face Primer SPF30. Now, I don't usually wear a makeup primer (shock horror being a beauty blogger of sorts and all that!), I just usually put on my foundation and off I go as I'm quite short on time when I'm getting ready but using this primer has really made me change my ways. I love it's texture, it's like a light face cream and it blends into the skin instantly which leaves you feeling like you have nothing on your skin at all. It acts as a great prep for my foundation and keeps it from sliding off my t-bar later in the day (the joys of oily skin...), leaving me free from touch ups. I also love the fact that this primer contains SPF30 and anti-aging properties (things which I am getting far too concerned with now I'm over the hill at 25 and really wanting to look after my skin!). It's also suitable for all skin types and is really moisturising - a great fact when you're wearing a full face of makeup.
IsaDora Nude Sensation Fluid Foundation. I love trying out new foundations as it's great to find new brands that work well with my skin and this foundation is no exception. It is such a light foundation and blends into the skin perfectly to create a soft, dewy look. My skin looks really healthy when I'm wearing this and it actually makes me feel good about how I look. It has a dropper applicator and the smallest drop really does go a long way, meaning that this foundation will last ages - great value for money there. When I'm wearing this it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything on my face, which is perfect for me because I hate feeling like my makeup is weighing down on my face. This foundation is also suitable for all skin types and it has six shades available. I have been sampling 10. Nude Porcelain which is a perfect shade for those with fair skin and although I usually wear a warmer, more yellow toned foundation as my skin is quite sallow, I really liked how this looked on my face and think it's a great everyday foundation. This foundation is €23.25.
IsaDora Color Correcting Concealer. - 34 Anti-Dullness & 30 Anti-Redness. These products are my new best friends, especially the anti-dullness palette. I have been so tired lately and it shows on my face (the bags under my eyes are Chanel... or IsaDora in this case!). The dark circles under my eyes are horrendous and this palette has really helped to make me look human again. I use the dark circles shade under my eyes and it instantly blanks out the darkness. The concealer has also been a lifesaver. The highlighter is great for using on the brow bone and the top of my cheeks just to give me a bit of a glow. I love the creamy texture of these products, they blend really well and have a huge effect on my appearance. At this stage I'd be lost without them.
IsaDora Eye Color Bar 60 Nude Essentials. This is the perfect little eye shadow palette for spring with it's six gorgeous neutral shades. The shades range from the light sand colour - perfect for highlighting the eye area to the perfect chocolate brown - great for framing the outer eye. My favourite shades are the two in the middle, they both have a bit shimmer to them and slight pink/purple tones to them too which are really pretty when on the eye. This palette is the perfect handbag essential as it's compact and has a mirror in the lid for application on the go. The shadows themselves all have a soft, velvety texture, the pigmentation is great and they are super easy to blend for creating the perfect nude eye look.
IsaDora Twist-Up Matt Lips Satin Soft Feel 50 Naked & 56 Candy Store & Twist-Up Gloss Stick Moisturizing Lip Filler 29 Clear Nude. I've never used lip pencils like this but they are for sure my new 'thing'. I have been wearing the shade Naked like it's going out of fashion but it really does give the perfect nude lip. The shade kind of reminds me of MAC's Soar lip pencil that everyone has been going crazy for recently, so this is a great alternative if you love the shade as much as I do. The shade Candy Store is the perfect pink and great for adding a bit of colour to a nude look. These products are really creamy on the lips and do not dry the lips at all, they're actually quite moisturising and I think they look amazing. The Twist-Up Gloss Stick has a gorgeous scent of vanilla and is perfect for wearing on it's own or for putting over lipsticks to give a gorgeously glossy lip.
IsaDora Face Sculptor 01 Warm Peach. Now this product, oh my God is it AMAZING! I'm so happy I found this product because I think it's made a huge difference to how I contour my face and it has really enhanced how my makeup looks on a daily basis. I use this product everyday and the highlighter part is now showing the bottom of the pan - time for a repurchase soon I think! I've never been a huge fan of bronzer because it never looked well on my skin but the bronzer in this trio is perfect for giving a contour to my skin. I use on my temples, under my cheekbones and on the sides of my nose and it really makes a huge difference to how I look. The highlighter is also amazing (hence why mine is almost gone). It has a slight shimmer to it which really makes for a radiant look. I use it on my forehead, brow bone, under my eyes, nose and chin for the perfect glow. The blush is a lovely peachy pink shade, I just wish it was slightly deeper - but that's just me loving a real 'stand out' blush on my cheeks. The shade is perfect for spring days and completes the nude look really well. I also have the IsaDora Face Sculptor Brush which is such a soft brush with no bristle fallout. The angle of the brush is perfect for contouring.
So there you have it, my thoughts on the IsaDora Nude Essentials Collection for spring 2015. As you can tell I absolutely love the collection. I really can't fault the products and they are now all staples in my everyday makeup bag, especially my holy grail face sculptor! I will be repurchasing these products for sure and can't recommend them highly enough - I've been raving about them to family and friends non-stop.
