The reality is you are totally right, in the same situation anyone would do absolutely anything they could to try to better the lives of their families. I absolutely HATE all these people whose attitude is that somehow they deserve how lucky we are in this country, and people in troubled countries deserve their fate too. No, it is a chance of birth. They didn't earn living in a stable country, they got lucky; and if they are not willing to share that luck with suffering people, they absolutely don't deserve their fortune, which makes them the 'leeches' in society in my book. Makes me so angry. & what is happening at the moment is so terribly tragic. It is not okay for us as a nation to pretend we can't see it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13006727330831002627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6241612993580002090.post-36336665271619200832015-09-03T22:27:29.028+01:002015-09-03T22:27:29.028+01:00Thanks for writing this post. I feel the same, unable to concentrate on the daily tasks at hand, they seem so insignificant compared to what these poor people are going through... Well done you on at least trying to make a difference. I signed the parliament petition to put pressure of the government to show compassion, but I still felt helpless, so I wrote to my MP. It's a tiny ripple in the pond but if every causes little ripples, the pressure might be the tipping point. I wrote about my letter to my MP on my blog, think you might be able to relate. Anyway, thanks for putting yourself out there on this, it matters. Mrs C xAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
