Intelino J-1 Smart Train Starter Set Review

If you're looking for a toy that will bring your children endless fun as well as teaching them coding and STEM education then the Intelino J-1 Smart Train Starter Set (£99.95) is a perfect choice. 

This is the reinvention of the classic train toy and perhaps the smartest train ever built! It's made for modern day kids who like to be entertained and learning while playing with their toys.

 

Ideal for ages 3+, this smart train has a whole lot to offer, including screen-free and connected play modes. My boys are 7 and 4 and have had a whole lot of fun with this train set. It's been great finding a toy that suits both their ages and which they both love playing with together.

 

By downloading the free Intelino app (available on iOS and Android) onto a smart phone, kids can control different drive modes with the train and use a Snap Editor for customer commands such as releasing the carriage, etc.

The app really is great for giving children another level of play and allowing them to control everything about the smart train. 

The train can also change colours when scanning for colour action snaps, speed can be controlled and different routes can be mapped out. This makes for a whole lot of fun for kids and a nice activity for parents to be involved with also with use of their smart phones.

The sounds the train makes can also be controlled via the app.  

The Intelino Smart Train comes with colour action snaps which can be programmed to give different commands to the train. These colour action snaps allow children to programme the route of the train around the track.

The Intelino Smart Train can also run on most wooden tracks too (track adapters need to be purchased here), meaning that it opens up possibilities for even bigger track routes with existing train tracks your children may have.

 

The train is rechargeable and it's battery can deliver up to 100+ minutes of play time.

My boys have had hours of fun with the Intelino smart train. They've loved programming the train to do the actions they want and setting up the track to be the main feature in the little towns they make.
