DIY Rainbow Colour Learning Car Garage For Kids ♥

If you're like myself and aren't a very 'crafty' mum, but are looking for something fun and easy to make with or for the kids then this DIY cardboard rainbow colour learning car garage is the perfect craft!

I spotted the idea on Emma from @lifewithtinyhumans Instagram and decided to have a go at making my own. My attempt is bigger than Emma's one, just because I didn't have a smaller box to hand, but you can literally make this as big or as small as you like.

It took half an hour to make, required nothing by my time, some markers, a scissors and a cardboard box and my son loved it!

My youngest son, Beau, is car crazy and he also loves his colours and rainbows (RainBeau!), so this was the perfect DIY toy for me to make for him.

It only took half an hour to make and with very little effort from me, he had something to keep him entertained for a long time! He loved matching up his cars with the coloured parking spaces.

This is a great DIY craft toy to make for kids who are just learning their colours, who are trying to recognise the different colours, or, who simply love cars and would like a new car garage to play with.

Another great aspect to this DIY is that it was FREE to make! I had everything I needed at home to make it and I'm sure everyone else would too. It can be as big or small as you like, you can personalise it for your child and put as much (or as little!) effort into it as you wish, as it's perfect so long as it has the coloured parking spaces.

Beau was delighted with this activity and because I made it with a large, sturdy box, it'll last for ages too. My craftiness even inspired my eldest boy, Tyler, to make his own creation out of a box - a centre for his emergency services vehicles. It's great to see creativeness and craftiness inspiring even more creations from the kids and I think I'll have to do more craft projects with them.

I'm always pinning activities for kids on my Pinterest @trixiebellexx, so if you're looking for even more activities for kids inspiration, do pop over for some great ideas and seasonal themed activities too.
