14 Valentine's Day Crafts & Recipes For Kids ♥

Valentine's Day will be upon us very soon and with my love of all things seasonal, I've been looking at some cute crafts and yummy recipes to make with the kids.

Valentine's Day will fall on a Friday in 2020, which makes for a lovely opportunity to whip up some tasty treats with the kids when they've finished school and enjoy an afternoon of crafting with them. Or, if you're super organised, you could make some Valentine's Day themed crafts with the kids during the week and use them as sweet little gifts for relatives and friends on the day.

Here are some of my favourite Valentine's Day crafts and recipes for kids:

1. The kissing hand pop-up cards
The perfect pop-up cards which will not only be a lovely craft to make with the kids, but also a great sentimental keepsake in years to come to remember just how small their hands once were - oh my heart!

2. Yogurt covered strawberries
These are a delicious and healthy snack for kids to enjoy this Valentine's Day and they're so easy to make too - perfect!

3. Valentine's popcorn
Again, a very easy to make treat for the kids this Valentine's Day. All you need is popcorn, melted chocolate, yogurt, sprinkles and some Love Heart sweets. Stir them all together and leave it set in the fridge for a yummy treat.

4. Easy heart print wrapping paper
Another lovely activity to do with the kids that makes for a sweet personalised touch naddition to a Valentine's Day gift.

5. Beaded Valentine's Day card
Another lovely idea for a Valentine's Day card using coloured beads and craft paper. Simple to make and the kids will love crafting with the beads.

6. Heart wall hanging
This is a gorgeous little craft to do with the kids and one that could actually be hung up all year round - a heart wall hanging. It's super sweet and so pretty!

7. Valentine's sandwich biscuits
These heart shaped frozen yogurt sandwiches look absolutely delicious and will be sure to go down a treat with the kids!

8. Watercolour hearts card
This is such a pretty take on a Valentine's card, using watercolours instead of the traditional reds and pinks. The kids will have fun painting and seeing the effect that salt has on the paint. A gorgeous card offering lots of crafting fun!

9. Heart mermaid Valentine's
How adorable are these heart mermaid Valentine's by Red Ted Art? The kids will get to practice their paper cutting with the sweet little craft and the finished product makes for a gorgeous Valentine's Day decoration!

10. Dark chocolate truffles
If you're wanting to make a healthier Valentine's Day treat with the kids, why not try these dark chocolate truffles? They're so easy to make and a great snack option too. The kids can help out making them and you could even replace the dark chocolate with milk or white if needed - or do a mixture!

11. Valentine's clay handprint keepsake
Valentine's Day is all about the ones we love and how gorgeous is this Valentine's clay handprint keepsake to remind you of just how small your little loves once were? Such a great craft activity to do with the kids and even better to have something so special to keep after all the fun is had too!

12. Valentine's cupcakes
These are so easy to make with the kids. Either get a cake mix (for an even simpler baking session!) or make from scratch. Let the kids mix the icing and decorate with whatever sprinkles they wish!

13. Easy banana and almond cake
This is another easy and healthy recipe to make with the kids this Valentine's Day. You can even cut the cake into heart shapes using cooking cutters if you wish.
