8 Screen-Free Gift Ideas For Kids ♥

*This post contains PR samples given in exchange for feature. However, as always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.

If you're on the lookout for a great gift for a child either for Christmas or a birthday then look no further! Here is a list of great screen-free gifts which I've stumbled upon and gotten for my own children recently, all of which would make for lovely gift ideas that children are sure to love!

A storytelling device
I'm all for anything that gets my kids interested in stories and away from screens and have found a fabulous storyteller over the past year which both of my sons have fallen in love with. My Fabulous Storyteller by Lunii (€69.90) allows your kids to listen to a story of their complete choosing whenever they like. Your child can choose the character, location and objects within the story, giving them complete control of what they want to hear. This is also a portable device meaning it can go anywhere with them and you can load stories on to it after purchasing from the Luniistore. You can read more of my thoughts on it here.

A night light
Since they were babies my boys have loved night lights and not only are they great for keeping little one's rooms aglow at nighttime, they're also a lovely gift idea for a child who has sensory needs too - like my eldest soon. This Moon Bean Light (£14.99) is one of the most beautiful night lights I've found. It looks just like the moon and you tap it underneath to turn on. There are two colours to choose from - warm white and cool white and it looks beautiful upon a bedside table.

Role play toys
Kids love play pretend and playing house, etc. is something my sons have always loved doing. If your child wants to play pretend playing mummies and daddies then a stroller for their doll is a great gift. The Baby Annabell Stroller (£10) is an adorable and affordable gift. With double wheels for easy pushing, cushioned handles for comfort and umbrella fold for easy storage, this stroller is perfect for kids who want to take their dolls for a walk.
Wooden toys
Wooden toys are not only fun to play with, they're also sturdy, last practically forever and look beautiful on display in a child's bedroom too when they're not being played with. We're big fans of the Tildo range of toys and have fallen in love with the Tildo City Fire Engine (£17.99) which is beautifully crafted, has a swivel ladder for any rescue missions your kids can think of and is big enough to pop the lid and put characters into too.

Dress up
Kids love dressing up, so why not get your little one a new dress up costume for Christmas? I have a little budding fireman on my hands so this year I've gotten him this Fire Chief Role Play Set (£21.99) that has everything a trainee fireman needs!

Toy cars
I've yet to meet a child who doesn't like toy cars - I even played with them myself as a child! To enhance your child's play with their cars why not gift them with a car carrier to transport them around? I love the look of the Green Toys Car Carrier (£26.99). This car carrier has no metal axels or small parts, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor play. It's sturdy and well built, meaning the trailer won't keep coming off when your child is trying to play. It comes with three small cars and has two working ramps to load them on and off. This is a great toy and one that car lovers will surely get great enjoyment out of!

Puzzles
Puzzles make such a great gift for kids as not only are they fun to do, but it keeps them busy and free from screen-time too. I am in love with the Alphabet Jigsaws Seasons Puzzle (€37.95) which comes in an Irish and English version. This is such a beautiful puzzle and is great for keeping little minds busy, as well as teaching them vital words from the seasons - either in English or Irish.

Ride ons
If you're like me and are always on the lookout for a gift for the kids that can be kept outdoors then a ride on is a great idea. There are so many kinds available these days but if you're wanting to splash out and gift more than one kid at once, then a Twin Seat Electric Car (€269.99) is a great idea. Not only will kids love the fact that it looks just like a real car, but they'll love zooming around in it together too.
