This post completes another whole year of the Siblings project, and what an amazing photography project to partake in each year. The memories of all these photos are so precious to me and when last year's 12 photos popped up on my Facebook memories I couldn't help but smile and remember all the lovely times the boys had together and capturing those photos.
I'm so glad I have kept them all documented on here for them both to look back on when they're older. Lets face it though, they probably won't appreciate them until they're well into their 30's!
This past month has been a very busy one for us and we haven't gotten out anywhere as a family, nor have we done as much adventuring as I'd have liked. Today though, Tyler got his Christmas holidays from school so I brought the boys to the woods for a walk after the school run. They loved it and it's a fab way to get them to blow off some steam and relax - because energy is something that these two 'wild horses' of mine are not short on!
The boys are very close and it's lovely to see. Beau still affectionately calls Tyler 'LeeLee' and Tyler gets Beau out of his cot each morning. They're as thick as thieves and although they have their squabbles and sessions of annoying each other - the amount of times I have to shout "Stop it!" at them is something else... they do really love each other and as their mother it's great to see.
I hope they'll always be good friends, I don't think their three year and three month age gap is too big for them not to be good friends. Beau still misses Tyler while he's at school, but in nine short months Beau will be starting preschool and will be making his own friends and everything, so I'm going to try and treasure this time with him.
The boys have so many common interests now - probably because Beau has been forced to like everything Tyler does, what with being the younger brother and all! They both love Fireman Sam and would sit and watch it all day if I let them. They play with the Playmobil, cars, Sylvanian Families and everything else together too and it's lovely to see the toys actually being played with!
This will be their third Christmas together as brothers and I hope it'll be a great one for them with lots of treats, surprises and childhood Christmas memories that will last a life time.
