Beautiful & Fun Books For Children ♥

The boys have recently received some beautiful books, all with great stories and poems too, so I thought I'd share them here for any other book loving families.

These first four books were very kindly sent to us by Walker Books, whose book offerings for children are nothing short of fabulous. All of these books are perfect for kids, being both beautifully illustrated and fun for them to enjoy too - and us adults too!

Snow in the Garden: A First Book of Christmas by Shirley Hughes (£12.99)
This may quite possibly be the most stunning anthology I've ever seen. It's a beautiful Christmas book, packed full of stories, poems and Christmas themed activities. This book is full of beautiful, classic and traditional illustrations that really make is something special. This is a book that will be treasured for Christmases to come.

Dragon Post by Emma Yarlett (£10.99)
This is a very sweet book all about a boy named Alex who finds a dragon living under his stairs. This book is full of envelopes containing letters that Alex sends to various people looking for help with his new dragon pet. It's a great, vibrantly illustrated interactive book for children.

Angry Cookie by Laura Dockrill (£11.99)
As you can probably guess from the title this book is about an angry cookie, who we, the reader, must find a way to turn this cookie's frown upside down. This is another great interactive book for children that is guaranteed to get them laughing out loud.

Giraffe Problems by Jory John (£11.99)
This book is about Edward the giraffe who can't quite figure out why his neck is so long, bendy and to him - utterly ridiculous! A kind turtle friend tries to make Edward see that his neck has a purpose - and looks great in a bow-tie too!

The next two books were very kindly sent to us from Doodles and Scribbles and these have been perfect for our little nature-loving boys.

Hedgehogs Don't Live in the City by Lucy Reynolds & Jenna Herman (£7.99)
This is such a beautiful book for children. The illustrations are timeless and gorgeous and not only does each page look stunning, it's a great learning source for children too to learn all about hedgehogs and how they can spot them in their community. Tyler really enjoyed this book and learning about hedgehogs - he has quite a soft spot for them. This is definitely a must-have book for any little nature lover.

Parrots Don't Live in the City by Lucy Reynolds & Jenna Herman (£7.99)
This is another stunningly beautiful book from Doodles & Scribbles and we loved the vibrancy of this one. Similar to 'Hedgehogs Don't Live in the City', this book is about children discovering parrots in the trees of their community - but are they real or imaginary?! You have to read to the end to find out. This book arrived with a very special feather inside too, which Tyler loved and popped on his Christmas tree!

All of these books are so lovely and have been enjoyed by both the boys and myself when reading them as bedtime stories. I love when children's books are not only eye-catching but have some meaningfulness and a message to share with kids too and these books definitely fit that bill!

These would all make wonderful Christmas or birthday gifts for children.
