Children's car seats - I'm not going to lie, I find them to be an absolute nightmare at times.

Not only are us parents completely concerned with the safety of our children and if car seats are correctly fitted, children strapped in properly, etc. but children's car seats make car sharing, taxi rides, etc. almost impossible because they're so difficult to move from one car to the other these days!

This is where the mifold Grab-and-Go child restraint comes to the rescue!

Retailing at just €60, this booster seat is not only affordable, but the perfect size for transporting about and from car to car too. In fact, the mifold Grab-and-Go child restraint is the most advance, compact and portable car seat ever invented, and you can't have more of a glowing report than that now can you?!

mifold works by, instead of lifting the child up like a traditional booster seat, it instead, holds the seat belt down. Using the 3-belt guide, mifold adjusts the adult seat belt to fit a child by keeping the shoulder strap away from the neck, face and abdomen, but correctly positioning it on the collar and hip bones instead. This booster seat offers the correct amount of restraint for a child in case of impact.

The mifold Grab-and-Go child restraint has been rigorously crash tested and is a certified Group 2/3 'Universal' car seat for 4-12 year olds, weighing between 15-36kg and up to 150m in height.

It's a sad fact that a third of children are not safely in cars when in taxis, car sharing on the school run, on holidays, in Ubers and unexpected journeys, but with the mifold, children can be sitted correctly and safely on any journey.

The mifold is portable and small enough to be kept in a child's backpack for journeys in cars where they don't have a fitted car seat. It is designed for every car, on every journey, every time and I think that it's a fabulous invention that not only makes life and the rigmarole of car seats that little bit easier for parents, but that gives us peace of mind too about our child's safety when in a moving vehicle.

Our experience of the mifold Grab-and-Go Child Restraint -

1. Easy to use - It literally takes 30 seconds to hook the 3-point seat belt to the mifold and it's even faster to uninstall it. This makes it ideal to use in any car and makes car sharing, etc. so much easier than it used to be!

2. It saves a lot of space - With two bulky car seats in the car for the boys, this leaves very little room for anything else, never mind another passenger. With the mifold, however, the bulk is gone but the safety is still there. The mifold Grab-and-Go child restraint is compact enough to safely and comfortably fit three mifold boosters in the back of even the smallest of cars, meaning kids have a lot more room, but are still safely strapped in. This has been fantastic for us with being able to take Tyler's friends in our car, when before we weren't able to due to not having any room.

3. Small enough for easy storage - the mifold Grab-and-Go child restraint is small enough to fit into the car's glovebox, meaning it's not in the way but is still on hand for any impromptu journeys!

It's a fabulous invention and definitely one I would recommend to other parents - whether you have a car or not, because I think there will always be instances where your child will be in a vehicle, whether it be a taxi, rental car or a family or friends car and children's safety is so important.

How to install the mifold Grab-and-Go child restraint into any car -

1. Firstly, select the correct seat width on the mifold for your child by extending the adjustable sides.

2. Place the mifold on the car seat (the mifold can be used in all three places in the back seat of a car), get your child to sit comforably into it.

3. Fasten the seat belt over your child, ensuring that the belts are fed into the guides on each side of the mifold booster.

4. Attach the mifold shoulder clip onto the seat belt.

5. Your child is seated safely within the car and you're good to go!
