*The boys were sent these pieces by Muddy Puddles for the purposes of this feature, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.
Winter has reared it's frosty and cold head here in Ireland and am I glad that the lovely people at Muddy Puddles sent some gorgeous new outdoor gear for the boys just in time for it's arrival!
We're great fans of Muddy Puddles. The gorgeous pieces they sent to us last year are still going strong and Tyler's adorable yellow coat and lightning print wellies will be handed down to Beau in due course. They have stood the test of time and countless adventures into the woods, the beach and everywhere else the boys can get covered with mud and they are still as good as new.
Yesterday we ventured out into the blistering cold for a woodland walk - having to collect pine cones for our fire. The boys love going to the woods, even more so than the playground, and no matter how many times they go, they still find something new to feast their eyes upon.
I, of course, wanted to make sure they were wrapped up warm and snug, so out came their new gifted clothing from Muddy Puddles.
Tyler was sent the fabulous Tootsa Blizzard Winter Jacket (£85) which is just amazing! I shared this on my Instagram last night and we've had so many compliments on it. I spotted this jacket on Instagram a few months back and fell in love with it, so I was delighted that Muddy Puddles gifted this to Tyler - the design is perfect for an outdoor loving child like himself.
This jacket is a collaboration with British unisex brand Tootsa and is a limited edition design. This jacket is perfect for cold winter weather and for standing out and being cheerful on even the dullest of days. The sunshine, cloud and rainbow print of the back is just lovely and the jacket itself is so snug and warm.
I got Tyler the 6-7 and it fits just right (he'll be 6 in February and is quite tall). With extra warm insulation, super waterproof, durable and breathable fabric, it's sure to keep out the cold. It also has wrist warmers with thumb loops (which Tyler found to be a great novelty!), zip off snow skirt, device holder and pull-out ski pass holder, making it the perfect ski jacket!
For Beau, I went with an all-in-one again as the one he had last year was ideal for keeping him warm, dry and clean on our outings. This time though I went for the 3 in 1 Scampsuit in navy raindrop print (£75).
The Scampsuit has an outer shell suit made from highly protective herringbone fabric which is 10000mm waterproof - meaning it will keep Beau dry on even the wettest of Irish winter days!
It also has a removable insulating fleece all in one suit that fastens inside - meaning kids can play in the coldest of weathers without getting cold. This fleece is super warm ans snuggly and I was glad to have it on Beau yesterday in the blistering wind.
It has the most adorable pixie shaped hood with soft sherpa lining and the hood has secure fastening to keep ears warm - Beau has an aversion to anything being on his head at the moment so I sadly couldn't capture a picture of it up but it's super cute!
I got Beau the 3-4 years as he's very tall for his age (as tall as some 4 year olds!) and it's a little big but he'll grow into it - as all us mammy's say!
The boys also got new wellies from Muddy Puddles but in different designs this time. Tyler got the Puddlestomper Wellies in red interstellar print (£24) which are a fab red colour with planet and constellation print on them. Beau also got the Puddlestomper Wellies but in blue raindrop print. These wellies fit so well, keep little feet dry and clean when splashing in even the muddiest of puddles and have gripped soles to stop the kids slipping in mud. They also have a reflective strip on the back for extra viability on dark days.
The boys and I love their new outdoor gear from Muddy Puddles and can't recommend the brand enough if you're looking for good quality, durable and stylish pieces for the kids to wear in the great outdoors.
