Summer BBQ's With Primula Cheese ♥

*This post is in collaboration with Primula Cheese, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.

The sun has finally joined us here in Ireland and the evenings are so much longer, meaning that there's one thing we're all wanting for dinner around here these days - a BBQ!

As a family, we're almost always outside anyway, so the thought of enjoying dinner together outside on the grass whilst soaking up the warm, summer sun is very appealing to us. Jacek is South African and is known to enjoy a good braai - as they call a BBQ over there, so he really delights in firing up the BBQ whenever he can.
We were prompted by the lovely people at Primula Cheese to have a BBQ, whatever the weather, and thankfully, for once, the weather Gods are on our side and it's a balmy 24 degrees and sunny - perfect weather for firing up the BBQ and making some delicious food for us all to enjoy. In their latest research, Primula Cheese discovered that 40% of Brits would still go ahead with a planned BBQ no matter what the weather - they aren't worried when things go wrong, it's being with friends and family that matters. Isn't that just absolutely lovely?

Also, I take great delight in the fact that the boys will actually eat BBQ food and we can relax and enjoy our dinner together instead of trying to bribe them to eat!

Primula Cheese challenged us to host a BBQ and create some delicious dishes inspired by their amazing tasting cheese. As both cheese and BBQ lovers we glady accepted! If you're looking for some tasty food inspiration for your BBQ's this summer (lets hope these glorious sunny days last!) then check out Primula Cheese's BBQ inspiration

The Classic Cheeseburger
1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
1 onion, peeled and diced
500g Beef mince (15% fat)
1tsp of mixed, dry herbs
1 egg, beaten

To garnish -
Primula Original Cheese
Seeded bread buns
Lettuce
Red pepper
Tomato

Is it even a BBQ if there isn't a good ol' burger thrown into the mix? I love that Primula Cheese inspired us to make our own burgers as they were all the more tasty. The seeded bread buns and plenty of veg topped off with a good dollop of Primula Cheese made for the perfect burger.

These are super simple to make too, you simply heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and cook for five minutes until soften and starting to turn golden. The placed the cooked onion, mince, herbs and eggs in a bowl and mix together - you can season to taste too if you like. The shape into burgers and leave them in the fridge until you're ready to cool - simple and SO delicious!

The Falafel Burger

400g can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
Garlic clove, chopped
1 handful of chopped parsley
1 tsp of ground cumin
1 tsp of ground coriander
1/2 tsp of harissa paste or chilli powder
2 tbsp of plain flower
2 tbsp of sunflower oil

To garnish -
Primula Original Cheese
Bun
Mixed leaves
Red Onion

I LOVED this burger. I'm not a big meat lover, although I do eat meat sometimes, but I usually find myself going for the vegetarian option on menus. So, when I saw this falafel burger recipe from Primula Cheese I just had to give it a go.

It was really easy to make too and something which I will definitely be making again. You simply pop all the ingredients into a food processor and season to taste. Blend until coarse and then shape into four burgers with your hands. Before cooking, brush the burgers lightly with oil and place on the BBQ for three minutes each side until golden. These are delicious!

Not only are Primula Cheese responsible for filling our tummies with cheese that is just too good to stop eating - true story by the way, they're also willingly helping people in need as all of their profits go to charitable causes, which is an absolutely amazing fact to have to their name and even more of a reason to support them by picking up tubes of their delicious cheese.

I'm always incredibly happy to be able to support brands who give something back and am delighted whenever I can highlight brands who do this to my own readers and followers on social media. This is why I'm delighted to have been able to collaborate with Primula Cheese on this post.

Primula Cheese also have other flavour cheeses available in their range - cheese with ham, cheese with chives, cheese with prawns, cheese with jalopenos for those who like a bit of a zing to their palette!

There really is something for all tastes in the Primula Cheese range and their cheeses are the perfect addition to any meal - especially an essential for our BBQ's this summer. Lets hope the sun stays out long enough for us to have many more!
