Healthcoach By Laya Healthcare | My Experience & Results So Far ♥

*This is a collaborative post in association with laya healthcare, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.

On January 23rd I embarked on a new journey with my health and weight loss efforts, meeting my Healthcoach, Dan, from laya healthcare and gaining some valuable insight into my overall health and fitness - the things I had going for me and the things I could improve on. You can read all about what healthcoach by laya healthcare is and what took place at my Healthcoach meeting in this post.

Since that meeting with my Healthcoach on January 23rd, I have been working hard on my health and weight issues, getting some great guidance, recipe inspirations and daily set workouts from my healthcoach app. It's been great having all of these resources in one place and at the touch of a button too.

I've found the healthcoach app really easy to use and follow, and although I sometimes do forget to log my food and exercises for the day, I think the fact that I'm now in the mindset to eat healthy and workout without any prompting, is a positive outcome I've had from my Healthcoach and the healthcoach app.

Exercise is now something I greatly enjoy. I have my set workouts by my Healthcoach and try to fit them in whenever I can at home - I'm now regularly seen doing jumping jacks in the kitchen in between cleaning and loading the dishwasher. The burst of cardio throughout the day is great for me. What I love also is that Tyler and Beau try and get involved too, copying my movements and I love that I'm now leading by example and showing them how fun it can be to exercise.

I still go for my daily walks with Beau in the mornings - my Healthcoach incorporated these into my daily workouts which was great as it's something I wanted to keep up and on the day I met with my Healthcoach I also joined the gym, so exercise is something I've fully thrown myself into and which I enjoy doing.

The healthcoach app has helped me to completely change my eating habits. I've been given a set meal plan for a 1500 calories a day diet, with five different food options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and have been trying out different things which I wouldn't have eaten before, which I think is great.

All the meals I have are made from scratch and although this can be quite time consuming - especially if we wake up late on a school run day, I know that taking the extra time to make something healthy for myself is doing me the world of good and worth the effort.

I was on my set exercise and meal plan for five weeks and I have now changed to a higher difficulty workout plan and changed my weight loss goal, which has provided me with new recipes to try out. I'm really looking forward to trying the chocolate strawberry guilt free bagel and the Mexican eggs ranchero style. The foods I'm eating help me to stay full and I'm eating a ton of vegetables - which is something that was always missing from my diet before.

I'm happy and proud to say that I've achieved my initial weight loss goals with the help of healthcoach by laya healthcare. My goal was to lose 4kg by the time my collaboration was over, but, according to my scales here at home, I've lost 6.5kg so far which is a stone. My new goal is to lose a further 7kg and if I can do that I'll be absolutely delighted.

My Healthcoach has given me the inspiration and tools I needed to achieve my weight loss goals and even after this collaboration has ended, the things I have learned will be things I continue to put into practice.

My overall goal is weight loss and I'm so happy to be seeing the results of my efforts, but with the insights my Healthcoach gave me about my BMI and visceral fat, I know I still have a lot of work to do to reduce those. I am trying though and I think that's the main thing.

If you're a laya healthcare customer I highly recommend booking a face-to-face consultation with a Healthcoach. It's available to you at no additional cost and not only is it really interesting to find out your health and fitness stats and information, it's also invaluable information which can help you achieve your health and fitness goals too.

  15. I have found following diets and when I lose some weight I'd fall off the wagon and put back up the weight and then some. What has worked for me is an eat healthy plan, eat smaller portions, introduce more fish into my diet, Regular exercise, I've switched to wholemeal bread, cut salt out of my diet and I eat nothing processed. The very best of luck on your journey because I know how difficult it can be :)

  16. My daughter is a yoga and fitness teacher and did me a diet plan last year . I lost a nice 3 stone in time for my other daughters wedding the beginning of December. It's the only diet I've ever stuck to. Motivation I think played a big part. I wanted to get into a gorgeous dress I'd seenof I ate chicken & fish ,sweet potatoes, green vegetables , salads , porridge made with almond milk , a little fat (olive oil) yoghurt, bananas, cottage cheese, rice crackers, 3 litres of water a day , did have tea & coffee, used half spoon sugar, eggs , and lots of fruit . Could have treats at weekends but found I didn't want many though I did have some dark chocolate. I took a vitamin supplement and only did yoga . I have to admit I don't like e exercise but it worked. Hope you get where you want to be . A tip if you get hungry is to drink water before you eat.
