Beau took his first steps the other night, he's been keeping us all waiting, what with being almost seventeen months and all and I think Tyler is looking forward to the prospect of having someone to run around and play chase with. I must admit, I anticipated already being able to take pictures of them holding hands and running along, or shots of Beau toddling after Tyler, but I guess the best things are worth waiting for...
Beau is also saying a lot more words now, his current favourites being 'hiya' and 'bye' and Tyler gets excited hearing him speak, telling me that Beau is talking to him and he's happy.
Tyler, being a bit older and knowing how he likes to play his games, can sometimes get annoyed if Beau suddenly charges in and knocks things over or tries to play with the toys too. I have to try and strike the balance of telling Tyler to share and telling Beau he can't just disrupt the games... all in the fairness of each boy. It's times like this where their three year and three month age gap seems very apparent to me.
They're super cute together though and you can tell that they're both so besotted by each other. Tyler was desperate to have a sleepover with Beau, so I brought his mattress into Beau's room, lay it on the rug in their and let them sleep side by side. I was surprised they actually managed to fall asleep in such a short space of time, but they were adorable to look at. Honestly, if we had our own house I think I'd love for them to share a room.
I really do love how close they are and I love the fact that they always seem to want to be around each other. As their mother, it makes me so happy to see them enjoying each others company and playing nicely together - though this can feel a bit rare in between the squabbles!
Beau loves to crawl around after Tyler and he's super quick too. They love playing chase and they're both quite similar in that they both love being outside, being loud and are quite wild!
People keep telling me more and more that they think Beau is getting very much like his big brother looks-wise. I really don't see it myself, I think they're totally different, but maybe it's just Beau's red hair that's throwing me off.
I don't know what the rest of October holds for us, but I'm hoping we can go on some outings. Halloween will be here shortly and I know that Tyler is fiercely looking forward to it. I'd love to be able to take a lot more pictures of the boys together during this time of year, but with one crawling and one always running off, the pictures can be quite blurry and chaotic, but I guess that's the candid life of raising active, adventurous boys.
Beau's OUTFIT though!! That deer jacket is adorable; I must know where it is from!
ReplyDeleteIt's from AliExpress. My go-to for cute, affordable clothes that my boys will wreck!
DeleteOh those trees are absolutely gorgeous. I also have fox-coat-envy!! I will be looking out for one of those. I look forward to your posts because of the amazing photographs. I really must try harder ;) you are my inspiration xx
ReplyDeleteThey're so old too, which I think makes them a lot more lovely to me :) The coat is from AliExpress, it's actually a deer - has a foxy vibe too though, but if you search for 'baby deer coat' it'll pop up. You are so lovely, thank you so much for your kind words. Honestly, the majority of the pictures I capture are just flukes. The boys are too wild and quick to stand still! :) x
