I had been thinking about getting him one, as I knew Tyler absolutely loved his when he was a baby, so when Fisher-Price got in touch asking if we'd like to review one, I was delighted that Beau would finally get to jump around and play in one of his very own too.
The jumperoo Beau was sent is the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Puppy's Activity Jumperoo, which looks absolutely adorable with it's rainbow arch, happy faced characters and puppy on the seat. I must admit, I was a bit worried that the jumperoo might be a bit big for our tiny house and take up too much space, but it actually nestles into the corner quite compactly - a pleasant surprise!
So how easy is it to assemble? Well, considering I put the jumperoo together myself in the space of about twenty minutes, I'd say pretty easy! I'm absolutely useless at assembling kids toys and products, but this was so easy as everything is just a process of clicking in all the parts.
What does it offer for babies? This jumperoo has everything a baby could possibly ask for - a comfy seat that rotates 360 degree so that they can reach all the toys, hanging toys that play musical tunes, lots of sounds and songs, lights, spinny bits, a chewable toy, a mirror, moveable parts and buttons. Basically, it has everything that babies love to play with.
The seat can be adjusted to fit baby's height too, meaning that they're able to jump comfortably and safely. We've had to adjust the seat to the highest setting as Beau is such a tall boy and he loves jumping around and swaying when he's in the jumperoo.
The jumperoo has two sound modes - a musical fun mode which illuminates the lights and plays songs as baby moves and plays and learning mode which teaching first words, animal sounds and songs. There are also four language options - English, Russian, Italian and Spanish.
Does Beau like it? I must admit, he was a bit apprehensive of it at first, never being in or seeing anything like it before. He also didn't begin using it until he was ten months old and I think had I gotten him one when he was a bit younger, he's really have fallen in love with it.
He doesn't stay in it long and although he does love the toys it offers - especially the moveable hoops and car keys, he hasn't worked out how to rotate the seat by himself yet so I have to turn him around to show him the other toys.
He loves jumping around in it and swaying about and I think it's such a novelty for him to be moving so much, especially as he didn't really start moving about until he was ten months old - he was such a lazy bean of a baby!
My thoughts on the jumperoo? From a parents perspective, I think the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Puppy's Activity Jumperoo is a great toy for babies. It's a great activity centre and offers a whole lot of fun for little ones to play and discover. I only wish I had gotten one for Beau much sooner!
I like that it's compact and doesn't take up too much room and was easy to put together. The design of it is also lovely, I love the rainbow arch and the smiling clouds - too sweet!
Would I recommend it to other parents? Definitely. This is a great jumperoo and well worth the money - it retails at €159.99.
I would strongly advise though that if you are thinking of getting it for your baby that you get it sooner rather than later. The jumperoo can be used by babies as soon as they're able to hold up their own head and up to a weight of 12kg - which I think Beau is probably at now as he's such a tall boy.
*We were sent the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Puppy's Activity Jumperoo for the purposes of this review, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
