Our Month That Was... | October 2016 ♥

It's now November 1st, the beginning of winter here in Ireland, but you'd never know it as the weather is so mild, I'm wondering if the winter coats will get any wear at all. It also hasn't rained in ages, I honestly can't remember when it last did, it's so strange...

I seem to have skipped my 'Our Month That Was... September 2016' post, which is also strange as I have the collage picture for it on my Instagram..., oh well, back on the horse again this month to document our memories together.

October flew by in the blink of an eye. Ever since Beau arrived I've been busy, very busy and any bit of downtime I get I just want to sit on the couch, scrolling through Instagram and basically faffing about doing nothing. The mornings always come too soon and then it's back into the rigmarole of caring for two very needy little boys. I feel like a zombie.

In October we went for lots of woodland walks, a beautiful place to visit on autumn days, when the leaves are scattered across the paths and the trees are adorned with all different shades of colour. I found the woods to be the perfect backdrop for some product photography I had to take in October, notably my Silver Cross Pioneer and Tyler's beautiful robin red coat from JoJo Maman Bébe. I also took the boys lovely Siblings in October pictures out in the woods, laying them on the leaves to get a very autumnal looking shot.

As a family we didn't have any days out in October and this is something which really annoys me. Out of a month with 31 days how did we not manage to go anywhere together apart from the woods? Every day off Jacek had was filled with things to do, shopping and chores... life really got in the way of fun in October, hopefully this won't be the case in November.

October also brought Beau his first Halloween but he was teething so badly the whole day, screaming crying and generally unhappy in himself so he didn't come trick-or-treating with Tyler and I and only spent a minuscule amount of time in his pumpkin costume, but nonetheless, I'm glad I got some pictures of him in it. Tyler had a great time trick-or-treating with my little cousin and his friend, they were so cute going around together and he got a great bag of treats for his efforts - one that'll probably last him until next Halloween.

October, you were far too busy for my liking, but you were good to us at least, November, please be good to us too...
