Keeping Cosy With Polarn O. Pyret ♥

October has arrived and the weather has definitely become a lot more autumnal this week. I've been absolutely freezing in the evenings and I know that long nights in front of the fire aren't too far away.

Tyler has been feeling colder too, this in between stage of late summer-like weather, mixed with cold breezes has me perplexed as to what I should actually dress him in, fearing that he might catch a cold if I leave off the layers or that he'll be boiling if I pop them all on - oh Irish weather, how you keep me on my toes!

Luckily, he's all set for the colder days ahead and will be kept very snug and cosy in his new Padded Parka Jacket (£85) from Polarn O. Pyret. This is Tyler's first Parka jacket and I don't know why he's never had one before because I just love his little face surrounded by that faux fur-trimmed hood - he looks adorable!

The jacket feels and looks like such great quality and the padding is thick, but not too thick so that he can't move around in it, meaning that it'll be perfect for fending off the cold on those dull and freezing winter morning school runs and all our outdoor adventures that'll come during the winter months. The jacket is also waterproof so it's ideal for all the downpours we get here - sudden and expected!

The jacket has fully taped seams, a fleece collar, zip storm flap and chin guard, sleeve cuffs with darts and Velcro adjustments, two front pockets, hand pockets with poppers, reflectors and the hood and faux fur trim are both detachable. Everything about this jacket has been well thought and out and there's no way the cold is going to be getting to Tyler in this. This jacket really does have everything you'd expect in a good, children's outdoor jacket and then some. I especially love the addition of the reflectors because the mornings and evenings get very dark here and safety is king.

This is a proper jacket, not one of those 'farting jackets' as my mam used to call the ones I'd wear when I was younger, the ones you'd catch your death in because we felt we were 'too cool' to wear an actual functional jacket to fend us off from the bad weather. You know what I'm talking about, right? This jacket is one with a lot of functionality and one that'd actually keep you warm and protected from the weather.

This jacket is functional, looks great and will stand the test of time due to how well it's made. I love this jacket on Tyler and I know he'll love it even more when he's cosy from the cold these coming months.

The Padded Park Jacket is £85, which may seem a bit steep, but in all honesty, it really is worth the money just for how well it's made alone. I got Tyler the 4-5 so this jacket will do him for two autumn/winters and it's definitely a lot warmer, better made and has a lot more to it than other jackets I've come across lately. It'd make a great jacket for school kids and for those who like to enjoy a lot of time outside.

*We were sent this jacket for the purposes of this review, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
