12 Months Of Happiness | April 2015 ♥

May is now upon us and for me that marks the beginning of the summer. I can't wait to see what is instore for me and my family in these coming months but for now it's time to look back at what made me happy during the month of April.

I was delighted that Jacek was off for Easter Sunday, the sun was shining, we ventured outside and had such a lovely day together as a family. We then went to visit my stepdad and Tyler lee made friends with a little lamb who we called Esther in the spirit of the day. These may be some of my favourite pictures of my boy ever. It was great to celebrate Easter together and not just surrounded by chocolate eggs either!

Tyler Lee and I were lucky enough to have multiple Easter egg hunts this year, one together, one on Easter Sunday with Jacek and one Alice in Wonderland themed Easter egg hunt which we attended at Fota House and Gardens with our friends. My boy really enjoyed it and it was great seeing him interacting with the props and stops along the way. Plus, as a huge Alice in Wonderland fan it was great to see the whimsy of it all. Yay for themed days!

 We've been blessed with so many sunny days this April and it's been so amazing to spend so much time outdoors with my boy, enjoying the nature around us and snapping away on my camera of course. We had such a fun day exploring the wonderland of the woodland, enjoying our Sundays in spring and getting my boy acquainted with new parts of the island. I love our little adventures and know that we'll have many more throughout the summer.

 I've had lots of moments of whimsy throughout April, doing things just for the fun of it and creating beautiful images in the process, like with my Just For the Whimsy post which resulted in copious amounts of cupcakes and sparkling water (I don't do hot drinks!). I also had lots of surprises in April including an amazing bouquet of flowers as a thank you gift from my fellow Irish Parenting Bloggers for being one of the organisers of the amazingly successful and fun filled Irish Parenting Bloggers Awards or #IPBAwards as you may have seen floating around Twitter. I unfortunately was unable to make the night and sadly didn't win my category nomination but everyone had a fabulous time and that's what counts.

 Yesterday, on the last day of April and I finally took the plunge and did something which I've been wanting to do before - a began a new blog! Fawns & Fables is my place to share my biggest passions with the world in full - photography and travel/adventure. My first post on my new blog also went live on there yesterday too, Once Upon A Time. I would absolutely love your support with my new blog, it'd be fantastic to have other photography lovers to converse with on there and share their posts too so I can have a look.

So that was all that brought me happiness in April. It really was a great month and I hope the sunny weather continues through May. Come on May, be good to me!
