Tyler Lee's 2nd Birthday ♥

On Monday February 16th we celebrated Tyler Lee's 2nd birthday. We had had a little In the Night Garden themed tea party for him on the Sunday, so on the Monday Jacek and I took him out to let him do what he loves best - run around in the great outdoors! I took this opportunity to bring my camera and capture some birthday snaps of my boy. He was so happy and smiley - I think he knew that it was his special day and the beautiful nature backdrops of the magical Blarney Castle and Gardens made these pictures all the more special for me.

We walked around the grounds, or rather Tyler Lee ran and we just had to stop to take some photos in a place which I have nicknamed 'Daffodil Avenue', it's like the Yellow Brick Road in the Wizard of Oz... just with golden daffodils paving the way instead of bricks. I was so happy to get a few lovely pictures together with my boy, we haven't had any pictures taken together (except for selfies of course) in a long time. The light was beautiful and I'm so glad I have some beautiful pictures to commemorate my sons 2nd birthday. The perfect spring themed pictures for my little spring born babe. I thought he looked absolutely adorable in his little vintage style teal and gold coat, his jogger jeans and his little shoes his Nana bought him, they're perfect for all the running around he does. We've ditched the leggings in favour of jeans on him again, there is nothing sweeter than boys jeans and I'm loving these jogger jeans on him, so adorable. He's a stylish little pup, that's for sure.

We've visited Blarney Castle and it's gardens many times since Tyler Lee was born but we've never actually took him up the castle. For his birthday Jacek was determined to take him up there - so we did! It was a steep climb up and when we reached the top we were almost blown away by a huge gust of wind - who knew the top of castles could be so windy?! Tyler Lee was transfixed by everything up there, he was looking out at all the views with his Daddy, it was so sweet to see. Now our little prince can actually say that he's been on the top a castle.

We finished off our outing with a go on the swings, always a must for our boy when we visit here. He actually wouldn't walk at the end and wanted to be carried but the minute he saw the swings he wanted to get down and run over to them. He loves the swings and it was the perfect end to his birthday adventure.

Before our outdoor adventures the birthday festivities began early in the morning when Tyler Lee woke up to be greeted by his presents. He went straight into his teepee and began playing with his Happyland police station and submarine. He was also delighted by his drum kit and to be honest with you he's actually a bit of a pro with it already! We may have a little rock star on our hands.

This is how all birthdays should be spent - with the people you love, doing the things you love. I think my boy had a very happy birthday and I was so glad to capture all these memories for him to look back on in years to come.
