My darling boy, you are now two years old! Happy Birthday to you, you absolutely love being sung happy birthday!. I cannot believe that we have reached this point in your life already, it only seems like yesterday that you were a tiny little babe, sleeping all day and needing nothing but some baba and a nice soft blankie to snuggle up in, now you're a fully-fledged little toddler who doesn't really drink milk or eat much but you still love your soft blankies, so yay for that. I'm not going to lie, I was so emotional the night before your birthday and I cried, a lot. I have never loved anyone as much as you and to see you getting older and more independent is quite an emotional thing for me. To me you'll always be my little baby, even when you're a grown man with a family of your own.
Now that you're two I see so many changes in you. Suddenly you seem a lot more grown up. Your speech is coming on great and you now answer "ya" to me when I ask you a question or else you shake your head for no. You love music and dancing, you're always dancing as soon as some music comes on the TV or radio. You also watch music videos on my phone whilst I get ready, your favourite artists being Ed Sheeran, Sia and Taylor Swift at the moment. Any music video you watch has to have dancing it in, you're transfixed by dancing, maybe I have a tiny dancer on my hands? We also watch funny cat vines together - you love cats! You also still love the vacuum cleaner but now you've found a love for the ironing board and clothes horses too, I hope you keep up your love for these things in your teenage years! You always want them out of the cupboard and like putting clothes from the basket into the washing machine, taking them out and putting them on the ironing board, you're a little domestic God!
You also love playschool now, you're so happy going in there carrying your little sack and you know the names of your teachers now, you even give them hugs. I'm glad you feel safe being minded by them and love interacting with the other children, you are such a sociable and friendly little babe. You really do love other people and say "hiya" to everyone we see when out and about, although you find it very upsetting when people don't say hi back to you and it makes you cry, it breaks my heart to see you upset because of this. This month of your life you've been so sick with a cough, cold and a constant runny nose so you haven't been eating much. You've really gone off your food but hopefully we can get you eating properly again once you're fully better.

You play with your toys a lot more now and it's so lovely to see you engaging with them and having some imaginative play. You're quite a musical little thing, you love playing the piano in nana and granda's house and funnily enough it actually sounds like proper songs instead of you just hitting the keys! We got you a drum kit for your birthday and you're already playing with the sticks in both hands - a proper little rock star, just like the man in the hospital said about your name after you were born. Your hair is so long now and so curly, you always get compliments on it when we go out, which makes you giggle shyly a lot and you still haven't had a haircut! I think we'll be leaving your hair grow long, those curls are too precious.
Weight - Still no idea but you feel a lot lighter now. I don't think weight matters at this age, you're a happy, healthy and very active little boy.
Height - 91cm
Hair - Very long dark blonde curls.
Teeth - I think you have them all now but you won't let me look in your mouth!
Clothes Size - 2-3
Shoe Size - 23 or 7
Nappy Size - 5+ and 6 for at night time.
Favourite Food - Cheese, pasta in tomato sauce and raspberries - you eat a punnet at a time.
Sleeping Time - One nap a day, usually two hours long. 12 hours a night.
Words - Mumma, Dada, Grandad, Nana,
dog, cat, shoe shoes, door, slide, mess, uh-oh, tired, one, two, three,
walk, yeah, no, hey, this, kiss, car, who is it, who is he, love you, lovely, out, hungry, hi, hiya, hey, go, again, nice,
love, outside, where is he, choo choo, Daisy, Ella, Kayla, school,
splash splash, Tracey, Sassi, Tilly. Probably some more that I've forgotten, you're learning
new words everyday.
Loves - All your cuddly toys, dancing, music,
playing with water, the beach, being
outside, In the Night Garden, going for a walk, toy cars, your kitchen
(especially the blender!), brushing your teeth, running around the
place, older children, lying on all your cuddly toys, the sea, lemon and
lime water, cuddling your slippers, bath time and being read a story.
Hates
- Having your face cleaned, getting your nappy changed, sitting still,
being told 'no' or 'ah ah ah', having your nose wiped, when we come home
after being out somewhere fun, when Daddy goes to work and the Thompson
ad on the tv with the teddy - I don't know whether you feel sad for the
teddy or if you're frightened of him!
You've met all your grandparents even though three of them live in
different countries to us. You've visited five castles, one fort and
some museums. You've stood in the Atlantic Ocean and the English
Channel. You've been on four planes and two holidays out of Ireland.
You've been to five Irish counties and have seen the sites of them all.
You've learned to roll over, crawl, walk and talk. You've started playschool, the first step on your way to proper education.
You've grown so much, seen so much, done so much and you won't even
remember it all so I'm so glad I have this blog documenting everything
for you from your early years.
Tyler Lee, you are such a joy, the most beautiful, kind, loving, friendly and affectionate little boy I could have ever asked for. I am so proud to call you my son, you are my little angel man and every day with you is such a blessing. These updates shall now become an annual thing and hopefully I can do little interviews with you for them so that you can look back on all the things you thought, said, loved and hated through all your years.
These last two years with you have been amazing, we've had so many adventures and have so many more to come in our lives together. I love you baby angel, you are perfect, never change.

With my two older ones I worked out of the house and wasn't with their mom for much after they turned two so I missed so many of the special moments. I love that I can share them now.
