Our Travel Plans 2015 ♥

The shoreline in The Algarve 2014.
2015 is my year for positivity and living life to the full. Last year wasn't the best of years for me and my family and after all the negativity, downs and anxiety that I've had to deal with within the past year, I'm trying my best to make 2015 a year to remember - for all the right reasons. This year my family and I have lots of travels and adventures planned and I really can't wait for us to experience them all together. You may have seen that I've added a travel itinerary section to the blog sidebar, this is so every time I log on the blog I can be reminded of all the great things we have to look forward too.

The Spire, Dublin, January 2015.
Jacek and I have already taken a day trip to Dublin which was amazing. We hadn't been away together since June 2013 and although we really missed our boy it was nice to spend quality time together as a couple - something which we don't get to do as much as we'd like. Although we were only able to explore the city for a few hours we saw loads and had lots of fun sightseeing together.

No idea who that guy is in the foreground but that's Jacek in the grey jacket at the back.
We also have a two-day trip planned for Amsterdam in March. This trip was one of Jacek's Christmas presents and I'm so glad I was able to finally plan it as I've wanted to go there with him ever since we first got together as a couple. It's one of my favourite cities, I love the laid-back atmosphere and all the quirky places the city has to offer. I'm looking forward to doing some more sightseeing there (I've already visited Amsterdam three times before) and exploring more of the city.

In June we're attending Britmums Live in London and I'm really looking forward to the event. It'll be my first time ever at a blogging conference and I really hope to see some familar faces! I also hope I'm able to learn a lot of blogging tips and tricks on how to improve my blog. We'll arrive in London quite early in the morning and I know Jacek wants to do some exploring as he's only been in London once before and wants to see more this time.

However, I know all this sightseeing and visiting attractions can be expensive, that is why we shall be taking advantage of discount websites such as Smartsave when we're planning all of our sightseeing trips. Sites like this offer a whole range of discounts for a whole host of attractions and even restaurants, meaning that we can have all our fun experiences but save money whilst we are doing so. Why pay full price when you can get a great discount, right?!

Jacek and I in Jersey, Channel Islands 2014.
In July we're planning to visit my father and his girlfriend again in Jersey, Channel Islands, which is where we had our first family holiday last year. We really loved our holiday there last year and it really was like being on a sun holiday as it was roasting hot and the sea was even warm. It'll also be great to see my Dad and his girlfriend again and I think it's nice for Tyler Lee to get to see his grandad again too.

Tyler Lee under the caves in The Algarve.
In August we will be going our second family holiday abroad, where to though we just can't decide. We want to go somewhere hot and by the beach but also somewhere that doesn't take too long to get to from the airport - unlike the almost three hour long bus journey we had from the airport to our hotel in The Algarve last year. We're thinking of Lanzarote, Greece, Italy or Croatia but we really can't decide - any suggestions?!

The Cliffs of Moher from one of Jacek's trips there.
As well as all these trips to places outside Ireland I'd love to explore some more of my home country too. I really want to visit the Cliffs of Moher this year. I also want to visit The Burren and the Ring of Kerry again. I also think I may be visiting Dublin again in April but that's to be confirmed.

What are your travel plans for 2015?

    1. Also, this year we plan to travel back to the east coast to visit our family. There is something special about Lancaster County Pennsylvania. I think it's the amish, homemade quilts and antiques that have a comfy rustic charm. And I really miss those cornfields!

  25. Oooh I'm liking your travel plans for this year. Do you live near Dublin? My brother used to live in County Meath for 10~ years, until they (he and his wife/family) moved back to Canada. The cliffs of moher, sounds pretty familiar to me. I'm not entirely sure if I went there or not (I've only been to Ireland twice).
