Baroo | Counting Sheep 5 Piece Bedding Bale ♥

It's safe to say that I have a bit of a thing when it comes to bedding. Our airing cupboard is full of bedding for mine and Jacek's bed and since we've had our son it's now become stocked with bedding for his cot and his future toddler bed. I think one of the nicest things any parent gets to prepare for their child is their cot. It's one of the places that your baby/toddler will spend most of their days (well, baby for this part) and nights and it's a safe place for them as they can't get out  of it and hurt themselves (although I've been told my brother gave escaping his cot a fairly good go when he was a toddler!). Since I was seven months pregnant I had my sons cot put together and adorned with a sheet, bumper, quilt, cushion and a blanket, all the things a baby/toddler needs for a comfortable place to dream. To this day I love to see my boy snuggled up in his cot on nice feeling, clean sheets and a super soft blanket.

The newest addition to my sons cot is the Baroo Counting Sheep 5 Piece Bedding Bale* which comes in a beautiful grey (my favourite colour) and white patchwork type design with stripes, stars, flowers, sheep, leaves and the numbers one, two and three. The design is perfect for the idea that counting sheep gets you to sleep. I think the bedding bale is fantastic as it has everything you need to make your little ones cot cozy and comfy for bed and nap times. I love that the design and colour is gender neutral too, that's a great element for expectant parents who may not be finding out their baby's gender in advance but who (like myself) wanted their baby's nursery complete for the big arrival. The bedding bundle also comes in a plastic, zipped bag which is perfect for easy and clean storage.
The sheet is fantastic as it is elasticated all the way round, unlike other sheets which just have elastic on the corners. I think this keeps the sheet more secure, especially if your little one moves a lot in their sleep. I love the design on the sheet and I'm glad that this design is featured throughout the bundle. The bumper is three-sided and each panel has a different design. The bumper itself is padded enough to keep your little one from hurting themselves off the bars of the cot. I love the patchwork panel on the bumper with all it's different designs and shades of grey and white.

My favourite piece from the bundle is the quilt. I love the patchwork and the mix of designs it has on each square. The quilt is thick enough for a toddler to sleep under or for a baby to have a little bit of padding if they're sleeping upon it. The quality of everything within the Baroo set is made of such great quality. Every last detail of the set is perfection and I think it has quite a luxurious feel to it.

I was delighted to see a cushion included in the bale as I think it really helps to tie the set together. Also, now that my son is older he loves having a cushion in his cot to cuddle up to at night, he usually has his soft toys perched upon it when I come to get him in the morning too.

The final piece of the bale is a super soft fleece blanket with a sheep motif and a trim which matches the sheet. It's perfect for my son is snuggle up to when he's napping or going to bed. Ever since he was a baby he's had to have something fleecy by his face when he's going to sleep, it's one of his little comforts in life.

Sorry for all the pictures but I just couldn't help but share, I'm in love with this new addition to my boy's room and think it is probably the sweetest bedding he owns. As he'll be in his cot for the foreseeable future (he's so happy in there that I don't want to move him to a toddler bed just yet) he'll get a lot of use out of this bundle - something which I'm delighted about as I am loving the grey and all the different designs it has within it. The sheep are just adorable too.

The Baroo Counting Sheep 5 Piece Bedding Bale is £64.99 and is available from the Baroo website.

  1. What a cute crib bedding set! When my oldest was in a crib, he had a Winnie the Pooh set and my little guy had one with cars & trucks.

  18. I really like this bedding set. It's very calm and restful and not overly cartoon-y like many bedsets seem to be.
