When I had my son I was oblivious to just how many changing bag options there were available. I didn't really see a changing bag as a fashion accessory, more of an essential item so I didn't really put much thought into choosing one, instead using the boring looking bag which came with my pram. Fast forward a couple of months to when I discovered just how beautiful and stylish changing bags can be and I loved trying out new designs. I now have a little collection of changing bags, each quite unique and the newest addition to my collection is the super stylish and highly functional PacaPod Hastings Changing Bag* in Driftwood colour.
The PacaPod Hastings is a grown-up knapsack style changing bag with stylish pin stripe fabric and faux leather trims. The Hastings is super lightweight and will now weigh down your pushchair or your back when out and about. I love the fact that this bag doesn't necessarily look like a changing bag, it's very smart looking and the design is fantastic, it has that classic, simplistic elegance which I love, no need for bells and whistles. Another fantastic aspect to this changing bag which I'm a huge fan of is the fact that it's gender neutral, meaning that it's the perfect accessory for both mums and dads when out and about with their little one. My partner was really impressed with the bag and happily wears it on his back when out on adventures with our son.
The PacaPod Hastings is highly functional and practical for carrying all that your little one needs and for parents to be able to find it easily within the bag. The bag has a 3 in 1 organising system which included a changer pod, feeding pot and a changing mat. The pods keep food and feeding items separate from changing items such as creams, nappies, wipes, etc. and I think this is great as I don't like these products being mixed in some of my other changing bags due to lack of pockets or zipped areas. The pods can be removed and can be wiped clean easily, they also match the driftwood colour of the bag quite well with their neutral shades. Each pod also has a velcro strap so they can be hung from your pushchair for easy access. The only thing I would change about the bag is the changing mat, I'd like it to be slightly bigger for lying baby on but having said that with the size it is it does fold down very easily and is kept neatly together with a velcro tab. The Hastings also features clips so that it can be attached to a pushchair. The straps on the bag itself can be moved from the knapsack straps to one long strap to wear over the body or hang off a pushchair.
Overall, I really do love this bag, I think it is so stylish but the style doesn't compromise on the practicality of it at all. The bag has everything I need and plenty of space to keep all of my sons things as well as some of my own personal items such as my purse and keys, safe and easy to find when we're away from home. I love that the Hastings can be worn on my bag as a knapsack as I go on lots of walks with my son without his buggy and it's great not to have to hold anything or carry a shoulder bag.
The Pacapod Hastings is £65 and is available in a choice of Driftwood or Mocha colour. You can read more about the Hastings on the PacaPod website.

That seems like a very well designed back and they seemed to have thought of everything in terms of separating elements that shouldn't be mixed. In the photo you have it as a backpack, but can you also convert the handles to an over-the-shoulder? It looks like it does, which is kind of cool as depending on the situation one way of transporting the bag might be easier than another!
ReplyDeleteOhh! I love the stylish design. Definitely pinning for my future children.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great looking bag, it looks so slim and organized!
ReplyDeleteFingers toes and everything else crossed! Seriously crushing on this for my new babe due in March!
ReplyDeletePractical, practical, practical is the name of the game when you have a little one. The designers of this bag definitely learned from some moms about what is truly needed and what is just a waste. Great bag for sure.
