My darling boy, you're now one and half! I could never have imagined when I first held you in my arms that you'd already be a walking, talking, mischievous little toddler who knows so many things without having been shown them, I really do think you were on this Earth before. You're so clued into everything, it's amazing to watch you discover things and know how to work things even though you've never used them before, like the time you took your Christmas picture frame down, looked at it, put it back the wrong way round and then went back and made it right and propped it up correctly, my mind was blown at that simple little thing you did but it amazed me! In your short life so far you've already seen and experience so many wonderful things. You've met all your grandparents even though three of them live in different countries to us. You've visited five castles, one fort and some museums. You've stood in the Atlantic Ocean and the English Channel. You've been on four planes and two holidays out of Ireland. You've been to five Irish counties and seen the sites of them all. You've learned to roll over, crawl, walk and speak some small words. You've grown so much, seen so much, done so much and you won't even remember it all so I'm so glad I have this blog documenting everything for you from your early years.
You're now one and half or 18 months if I want to keep imagining that you're a little baby baby. You've grown right in front of my eyes yet I can't quite believe that you're already so tall and strong with a head full of blonde curls which won't stop growing. You're so beautiful that I can't quite believe you're mine. Your eyes are the most beautiful I've ever seen and your little nose is so perfect and those little pink lips so precious, I could gush about you all day but I don't want to be one of those embarrassing mothers! On the day you turned one and half, August 16th 2014, you were in the Algarve running around the pool and playing on the beach. You learned that I'm your mumma and kept saying "mum mum mumma", running up to me to give me the biggest hugs and kisses, you were so affectionate on that day, it was all about me for you and it made me so unbelievably happy. I'm so lucky to have you, my little angel man, in my life. In the words of that book I read you which always makes me cry at the end and you look at me always like I've got ten heads -
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living,
My baby you'll be.
Weight - Still 22lbs
Height - 87cm
Hair - Very long blonde curls, you have that surfer/beach bum look about you and I love it!
Teeth - 14. You now have 7 on the top gum and 7 on the bottom, more are on the way!
Clothes Size - 12-18 months, going into 18-24 months in some brands
Nappy Size - 4+/5 depending on brand.
Favourite Food - Everything you shouldn't have and ice lollies for summertime.
Sleeping Time - One nap a day and sleep 12 -14 hours a night.
Loves - PupPup, pretending
to be on the phone, playing with water, being
outside, going for a walk, bouncing
up and down on the bed, running around the place, climbing the stairs and coming down it, the hoover, being thrown up in
the air, pretending to be dropped, running around, going out in your trike,
going on a swing, older children, playing with the
hair straightner
and hair dryer, playing in your ball tub and playing in the sand, ice lollies and lollipops.
Hates
- Having your face cleaned, getting your nappy changed, when daddy goes to work, sitting still,
being told 'no' or 'ah ah ah', being made to eat your meals.
Now stop growing so quickly, I want to relish this stage of your life for as long as I can.
I love you Tyler Lee.
that's a lovely post! My youngest is now 20 months and is even more mischievous than his brother and sister before him, if that's possible. I suspect they've been teaching him a few tricks!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Awh how cute, it must be lovely for him to have older siblings, I always wanted them myself :)

Deleteawww! 18 months! I can barely remember my wee one at 18 months! All I remember is that is was my favorite phase. Old enough to have a little personality but still willing to do all the snuggling!
ReplyDeleteI know, it's the best! They're still small and need their mumma but old enough to be quite independent too!
DeleteLook at all that curly hair! Enjoy celebrating. What a special day!
