New Additions To My Makeup Collection ♥

I wanted to show you all some new additions to my makeup collection and products which I've been absolutely lovely lately. These products are so good, in fact, that I find myself using them everyday now and they've fast become some of my favourite makeup products ever and have made their way into my everyday makeup bag- high praise indeed!

First up is Billion Dollar Brows A Hint of Tint in 'Taupe'. Now I'm a huge fan of dark, exaggerated eyebrows so I really couldn't wait to try this out and I definitely wasn't left disappointed by it, it's fab! The 'Taupe' shade is actually for people with darker hair but I prefer darker eyebrows even though I have blonde hair anyway so this didn't bother me at all. The product comes in a little tube which has a wand for application onto the eyebrows. It acts just like a mascara, you simply brush onto the eyebrows and it gives amazing results, as you can see above. I have no makeup on in the above pictures as I wanted to give you a proper look at what the product actually does. I was a bit demure with the application of A Hint Of Tint in the above pictures, the product is quite buildable to give a more dramatic look if that's what you like. My eyebrows are really light but this product gives them instant darkness and definition which makes them look like they've just been tinted. This product has converted me from my beloved MAC eye pencil so it's definitely a huge thumbs up product for me, I can't get enough of it.

Secondly is NYX 'The Curve' Eyeliner. I've just started wearing eyeliner again and this NYX one is one of the best I have ever used. The shape of the product means that it's super simple to apply, no more holding down your eyelid trying to create a smooth line, ensuring precise application every time. The shape of this product also makes it super easy to create flicks and cat eyes perfectly. It's a liquid eyeliner but isn't runny and goes on smoothly. The nip reminds me of a felt tip marker and is so easy to use, it really does just glide on. This is such a fab product and I've been using it on my top and bottom lash line, the jet black shade is great for creating that grungy look which I love.

Thirdly is Urban Decay's Naked Palette. Now, I know I'm very late jumping aboard the UD Naked Palette train only getting my first palette, the Naked 3 back in March for my birthday but I was recently gifted the original Naked palette and now I can't get enough of it. I used to buy UD's individual shadows as I preferred the bolder colours but the Naked palette has totally won me over. I love the majority of the shades from this palette with'Sin', 'Naked', 'Sidecar' and 'Toasted' being my favourites. I love that the palette has a mix of shimmer and matte shades, a great combo to have in one palette and they are so blendable too. The brushes which come in all the UD Naked palettes are of such great quality too, it's such a great addition to have in the palette. I now use this palette everyday and am a bit OCD about the case it comes in, I have to keep that velour clean!

Next up is L'Oreal Visible Lift Foundation. For years now I've been wearing high-end foundations with MAC Studio Fix being my main foundation of choice but I recently got the chance to try out L'Oreal's Visible Lift during my 3 Minute Makeup Challenge with Fragrance Direct and I am so impressed with this foundation. For a drugstore foundation the quality is amazing, the colour match is great for my skin tone and it goes on like a dream. It does start to get a bit oily around my nose as the day goes on but that's easily fixed with a bit of powder. Visible Lift has a bit of a glow to it and makes my skin look really healthy, I love it. I was also super impressed by L'Oreal's True Match Foundation and that lasted ages too, I think Visible Lift will be the same making it amazing value for the price. I seriously think that this foundation could be a dupe for MAC's Studio Fix, I can't rate it high enough!

Next up is Urban Decay's Electric Palette. Now when I saw the release and reviews of this I wasn't sure about the colours. I love bright coloured eye shadow, everyone who knows me knows this but I thought the shades from this palette were too 'out there' for me. Fast forward to our trip to Jersey and seeing this palette for just £28, I couldn't leave it behind for that price and Jacek actually got it for me. I've watched some tutorials of this palette on YouTube and found how to tone down the colours to make them more wearable using shades like 'Naked' and 'Buck' from the original Naked palette. I've now been wearing shades from the Electric palette with  'Jilted', 'Urban' and 'Freak' being my favourite shades. These colours really stand out and look amazing on the eyelid, they really pop! I'm super impressed with the pigmentation and the shimmer formula.

Finally is Maybelline's Colour Sensational Popstick in 'Pink Sugar'. This is another product which I got to try out thanks to my 3 Minute Makeup Challenge with Fragrance Direct. I was initially let down by the colour payoff of this popstick, the problem being that there is none even though it looks like a gorgeous pale pink shade with lots of shimmer, however, I prefer it that way. The popstick is super moisturising and I've been using it onto of all my lipsticks to stop them from drying out and to give a gorgeous, glossy effect to my lips. The popstick smells so sweet too, I love it. It's a great product for people like me who have dry lips and want a clear product to use on them throughout the day.

So there you have it, the newest additions to my makeup collection and I really have been loving them all. I don't get new makeup very often, I have a drawer and boxes full of the stuff so when I do get something it's usually something I've been coveting for awhile or just really couldn't resist.

Do you have any of these products? Do you love them as much as I do?

Stay pretty people!

  1. I recently bought the Naked palette and oh my goodness, it is amazing! I have a few shades of the Color Sensational Popsticks as well and really like that they are more balmy than lipsticky. If that makes any sense! x
