Build Me Up Buttercup ♥

This little boy... he has my heart, completely. Sometimes I can't get over just how beautiful he is. Apologies for all the motherly gushing but it's moments like those displayed in these pictures which makes me realise just how lucky I am to have this little angel in my life. As you all probably know I love photography. I am in no way a professional, I simply love capturing an image, a moment in someone's life, their quirks and facial expressions and if the setting of that moment is also beautiful, well then, that's just a massive bonus. I wanted to get my boy out of the house and got this crazy idea in my head to try and find a rape seed field to take pictures of my boy set against a backdrop of yellow loveliness. Sadly I couldn't find a rape seed field on our island but whilst driving spotted a beautiful looking field of golden flowers and had to go and find it. When we finally got there I was blown away by it's beauty and I just had to capture some images there. The grass was so tall and wild flowers such as clover and buttercups were growing like wildfire all over it, such a gorgeous site. I took my boy, my camera and jumped over the old stone wall to get into this field. We trekked across the long grass until I decided to stop at a spot which was completely covered in bunches of buttercups, I really wanted the splash of yellow in my shots as these are my boys first real pictures from this summer. My boy was shrouded in the gorgeous glow of all the golden buttercups and he was loving it!

Well... least to say he absolutely loved the field, or should I say wildflower meadow - that sounds so much more fancy doesn't it?! He was pulling at the flowers and tall grass, examining them and even went to eat them at one stage, I can't blame him, they really did look appealing! He kept falling down as he tried to walk due to the grass being so high but was quite happy to just sit there and look at everything around him, it was so unbelievably cute.  He was making so many funny expressions, this surrounding was completely new to him and I could see that he really did love it. I think I'm going to bring him out to this field again to take his monthly update pictures on the 16th and I just checked the pre-determined weather forecast - 'brilliant sunshine', oh yes, it'll be perfect. The golden buttercups match my little angel mans golden curls, I am in love with these images and I need to print them out and pop them in an album, just like the ten thousand other pictures I've taken since he was born! Nature really is the best prop for any picture, could this setting have been anymore beautiful?! Larking around a field with my boy was so much fun, the first of many summer wall jumping to get into fields for the purposes of beautiful pictures me thinks!
