My Urban Decay Customizable Palette ♥

For Christmas my darling fiance got me something which I had wanted for a long time, my very own Urban Decay Customizable Palette. I am a big fan of Urban Decay eye shadows, their colour selection, textures and shimmer really appeal to me so having my very own colour selection palette was something which I was lusting after for my makeup collection. The palette itself comes in metal case adorned with a dripping roses design and the silver Urban Decay logo. What I love about the case is that with it being metal, it is durable again falls and cracking, perfect for a butter-fingers like myself! The palette has four spaces to hold your favourite eye shadows which can be changed whenever you like. You simply buy whichever eye shadow colour you love, pop it out of it's casing and into the palette, it's as simple as that!

My particular palette was €12 and came with one exclusive neutral eye shadow called 'Melt', a very light peachy toned shade which is shimmer free, perfect for acting as base to any eye makeup look. My fiance then bought me three eye shadows to add to my palette - 'Zodiac', 'Snatch' and 'Mildew', these being €18 each.

My description of the colours is a bit like this -
'Zodiac', part of the Moondust collection, this is a glitter eye shadow with a lot of sparkle! This eye shadow is very luxe, a charcoal coloured base infused with shades of green, blue, silver and gold microfine glitter, I absolutely love it. In it's casing the shadow looks to be green coloured but as you can see from the swatch below the base is most definitely charcoal coloured. This is perfect for creating a diamond inspired smokey eye look.

'Snatch', a pink toned shade with undertones of gold glitter. When I swatched this in Debenhams Urban Decay counter I absolutely loved the texture of it. It was quite creamy with an almost metallic-like sheen, just beautiful.

'Mildew' one of my favourite Urban Decay eye shadows ever. This is a moss coloured/army green coloured shadow with gold and brown undertones, it's stunning! I love to wear green coloured shadows with my blue eyes so this is perfect.

The texture of all these shadows is amazing. The blend fantastically and apply so smoothly. There is some fallout from 'Zodiac' with it being a heavily glittered eye shadow but that's to be expected. I love my new palette and have been using it a lot since Christmas, especially 'Mildew'. I shall be creating some eye of the day looks in the coming weeks with this palette and shall feature them on the blog in turn. This palette worked out more expensive than the Urban Decay collection palettes but I love that it's my own. I guess I could call this the 'Fiona' palette! I have my eye on some more shadows from the Urban Decay Moondust collection, especially 'Glitter Rock' so I may just have to buy another customizable palette for my birthday in March.

Stay pretty people!

  3. That's a good looking set of colors! I just recently bought myself one of these UD palettes, too, because I had a couple of loose shadows that wanted a home. Love the flexibility.
