Living Arrows - Week 3 ♥

Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

I am taking part in I Heart Snapping's weekly Living Arrows project, a photography project to capture an image which represents childhood to you through the actions, likes, dislikes, looks and movements of your own children. Below is my picture for the third week of Living Arrows. One of my baby boy''s favourite times of day is bath time or 'splash splash' as it's known in our house. I only have one other picture of him in the bath since he was born so I thought it was fitting to try and capture him when surrounded by all the bubbly goodness of his Sunday night splash splash. My boy is somewhat a dreamer, a deep thinker, always pausing to get lost in his own thoughts. After smiling and splashing about he suddenly paused and looked upwards, I loved the shot I got of him. The crown of bubbles on his head looking halo-like and him being totally off in a daydream.
