The Christmas Eve Box ♥

My fiance Jacek comes from a Polish family and for him Christmas Eve is the most important time of the whole Christmas season. As we now have our son our different cultures have merged with him and I exchanging gifts and having a nice dinner on Christmas Eve as well as celebrating on Christmas Day and St. Stephens Day, the most important days in my Irish tradition. I am always stuck for ideas on what to get my fiance, he really is the man who has everything! He wants for nothing and is one of those annoying people who says "Don't get me anything", of course I ignore this, it's Christmas, everyone gets a gift! Last year I put together a hamper for him filled with South African food, (as he's from South Africa not just because I liked the sound of the food!) and also retro sweets as he loves them, well the hamper went down a treat and lasted him ages! This year I want to do something similar but not identical and when I stumbled across the idea of a 'Christmas Eve Box' on Pinterest I was really taken by the idea.

The whole idea is to gather Christmas themed items, or whatever you think someone will like really,  throughout the month of December to give to a special someone on Christmas Eve night, perfect for me as I'll be giving my fiance his gift on Christmas Eve night anyway.  Isn't it such a lovely, charming gift idea? I think this Christmas Eve Box could really turn into a tradition in my house with me putting one together for my baby boy each Christmas for him to embrace his Polish tradition and embrace the magic of Christmas Eve, in fact I have put together a Christmas Eve Basket for Tyler Lee which you can read about here. The best thing about the Christmas Eve box is that it can be tailored for all different budgets, tastes and people, it really is such a lovely idea and I'm so glad I stumbled across it. Oh how I love Pinterest, it's my main source of inspiration these days!

Inside Jacek's Christmas Eve Box are -

Warm slippers
An array of sweets
Chocolate coins
A chocolate lollipop
Christmas tree hat
Small Yankee Candle
Three wrapped up surprises
Candy canes
Hot toddys

What do you think of the Christmas Eve box? Will you preparing one for a special someone in your life this year?

  3. We are staying at my parent's house along with my sister's family. I am going to make a Christmas Eve box for my son and nephew. I am going to include a Christmas movie, some sweet treats, a Christmas book, stickers, and a few other little things I can pick up.

  4. Such a cute idea! I also found an idea for one on Pinterest early this year and saved it so I could do it for my sister, I really miss her at Christmas! I got her some really Christmassy red satin pyjamas, a stick of hot chocolate, a pair of slipper socks, a tiny bubble bath, and a mug and put them all into a little box with a tag that says 'open me on Christmas eve' :)
