Family Day Out - Believe At Fota ♥

Yesterday afternoon my fiance and I took Tyler Lee to meet Santa Claus for the first time, such a magical moment in every child and new parent's life! We went to Believe at Fota, an venue which has sold out, proving to be very popular as the whole event is in association which highly acclaimed wedding planner Franc. When we arrived we were given a ticket and escorted by elves into a room which was highly decorated with lights, decorations and lots of toys, there was even a sleigh on display which we were allowed climb into and get a family photo. Snow was scattered all over the floor and the whole atmosphere was simply magical, our baby boy was mesmerised by all the lights and his eyes were lit up by the wonder of it all. We were then taken into a room where Mrs. Claus was telling the story of 'Believe', the Santa helping, sleigh-pulling husky dog. After chatting with the little girls and boys she sent us on our way to take the train ride to see Santa. The train took us through the rather chilly, yet picturesque grounds of Fota Island Resort, we even saw a Yeti who gave us all a high five!

The train journey ended at the gates to an enchanted woodland which was beautifully lit up, it really was so magical. We were given some hot chocolate and mulled wine while we waited for our turn to enter through the big wooden gates. When it was finally our turn we shouted the magic password 'Believe' and were allowed enter into the enchanted woodland. We walked the lit up and snowy paths to see Santa Claus meeting some elves on our way who showed us some Christmasey things and cute husky dog puppies, they were adorable! We were then escorted by a friendly elf who took us to a sweet little log cabin where Santa sat waiting for our arrival. Tyler Lee thankfully didn't cry in Santa's face, he just sat looking at him and was then too interested in a rattle Santa gave him along with a polar bear cuddly toy. After a few photos and a chat Santa sent us on our way promising that he would visit our house on Christmas Eve and leave lots of lovely gifts for Tyler Lee. We were then given a framed photo of our visit which is now sitting proudly on our mantelpiece for the Christmas season.

It was such a great day and one to remember forever. I'm glad I got lots of pictures of our visit, it's great to have these Christmas memories to look back on in years to come.
