Tyler Lee's Nursery ♥

Now that Tyler Lee isn't a tiny baby anymore I've been wanting to give his room a theme, something to suit what he likes and something appropriate to the place in which we live. We live on an island situated in the second biggest natural harbour in the world so it is quite a picturesque place with Irish naval base situated across the harbour and lots of ships and boats sailing in and out of here everyday. However, I'm not quite ready to give up his beautiful room set, even though I've my eye on a nautical themed one from Clair de Lune which I may or may not buy in the coming weeks. I loved his room set the moment I saw it and decided that a neutral colour would be best. Tyler Lee loves to look at boats, he is fascinated by them, therefore we decided to give his room a nautical theme. I went searching for some things to begin the room makeover and while on holiday I found a shop which sold lots of lovely boats and sea themed items. I made the statistics picture via PicMonkey and printed it out at my local Boots. I bought a photo frame and painted it with powder blue paint to give a beach/shabby chic type theme. I got the idea of making a statistics page from Handbags To Changebags. I'll have to reprint it though as the edges of the print were cut off due to the shops printer running out of ink, something which I didn't notice until I got home. I made the bunting and each flag has a different design, I'm a bunting-a-holic! On holiday I found pegs with nautical themed designs on them so I added them to the fabric in between the bunting flags, I love these, there is a seagull, anchor, seahorse, ships wheel and a starfish, I just think they're adorable! I'm hoping to add more things to his room in the coming weeks and maybe even make a few handmade items for him so wish me luck!
