My New Everyday Makeup Look ♥

I decided to mix my everyday makeup look up a bit and begin using the various products I had lying in a drawer for ages now. I had received these products from pen pals and had won many from giveaways but they were just sitting there unloved and I can't stand when things aren't being used so I decided to give them a go. I waved goodbye to my beloved MAC and took a chance on some new products with a much lower price tag and I have to say I was so impressed! I now use seven new products as part of my everyday makeup look and I love the quality and effect they all have.

I forgot my foundation when I went on holiday (who does this?!) so I had to buy a new one while in Crete. I went for a brand I had never used before (a big risk I know!) La Roche-Posay. I picked their Hydrating Water-Cream Foundation in 'Golden Beige' as it seemed to blend really well and the colour matched my skin very well. This foundation is fantastic and it really is hydrating. In my opinion it gives the skin a lovely, dewy look which makes it appear to be so healthy. This foundation was €23 which I thought was a great price.

I was given e.l.f. 'Pink Passion' blusher as part of a beauty swap with one of my Danish pen pals and absolutely love the colour, it's deliciously girly. I think it looks great with my skin too and really gives a rosy cheek. The pigmentation on the product is great, shame that I can't seem to find any e.l.f. products here in my city, I'd love to give more of them a try.

I won the W7 'Africa' bronzer from a YouTube competition, the first and only one I ever entered so I was very lucky! The bronzer is made up of a blend of shades of pink and browns which give a beautiful glow to the skin and leaves it looking radiant. I was so impressed with this bronzer, usually they go cakey and don't blend well into the skin but this one goes on perfectly with a large blusher brush. I love the effect it gives to my whole makeup look.

I received the We Care Icon Magic Eyes 'Purple Supernova' duo eye shadow and Magnetic Eyes liquid eye liner in 'Magic Brown' from my Finnish pen pal Asta. I loved the colours of this eye shadow duo and the shimmer effect they have makes for a beautiful eye look. This shadow doesn't crease easily either, which is great for the ladies who don't like wearing primer. The eye liner has a gold shimmer to it which is really lovely. I apply this to my top lash line to frame my eye.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara was the first mascara I ever used and I was delighted to recently receive this from my Dutch pen pal Daisy, I forgot how good it was! It doesn't clump and the brush makes it very easy to use on the bottom lash line, no need for eye poking unlike with other brands (I always get the Benefit 'They're Real!' brush in my eye!). Daisy also sent me Maybelline Superstay Lipcolour in 'Burnished Gold'. This is a two part lip colour, one side is a lip stain and the other is a gloss which makes for a beautiful glossy lip. This product is long lasting and does not transfer, it is drink, kiss and eat proof! The only problem I have with this was getting it off! A normal makeup remover wipe doesn't work, I have to use a heavy duty eye and lip makeup remover.

Overall I am loving my new makeup look, I think it's simple enough to wear during the day but does have a hint of drama to the eye and lip. What makeup products do you use on a daily basis?

Stay pretty people!

  3. I don't think you can buy elf products in the shops, you can online though and they often do events like recently they did 50% off everything. It's worth signing upto the newsletter to find out when they are doing them. Give their mineral lipstick a try :)
